Meet Dale! He was hit by a car over two plus years ago.  The vet said the outcome would’ve been better for him if he was treated asap once he was hit. Dale injured his spine when he was hit by a car in Costa Rica.  He was living on the farm in Costa Rica with lots of other dogs.  A few months before coming to the US he lived at home with a vet in order to get laser therapy more frequent, which were continuing here along with acupuncture.  Long term we hope he improves with continued physical therapy but it’s not a guaranteed due to how long ago his injury to was. He gets around great in a wheelchair, that’s how he got the name Dale (Earnhardt). Out of the wheelchair he gets around pretty well.  He wears a belly band in the house to prevent accidents and he will use the doggie door.  Personality wise he LOVES attention from anyone who will give it to him.  He’s a huge snuggler and will follow everyone around the house, just to stay close to them.  He does great with kids and is being fostered with 12 other dogs.  He deserves a chance at a real place to call home after having such a rough start.  His foster is in Tucson, AZ, but comes to the Phoenix/East Valley area often. He is 1 of 8 dogs saved from Costa Rica and we hope we can give him a second chance at a great life. He will need a home that can continue with acupuncture and laser therapy. I’m an e-list survivor who got a second chance at life, and I’m determined to spend it making my forever family laugh, smile, and stay active! I’m a joyful little athlete who loves long walks and runs, shredding my favorite toys, and—of course—peanut butter Kongs. 🌟 My Personality & Skills Kid-Approved: I love kids of all ages—from tiny newborns to teens. MEET  VON!! Von is a very affectionate and loving boy who thrives on attention and cuddles. He truly lights up when you come home, showing his excitement with joyful energy and tail wags. Von loves being close to his people and will happily curl up next to you for hours of snuggles. He just has a super sweet nature! Von is quite clever and curious, so he needs an owner who understands his playful, sometimes stubborn personality, and a good strong pack leader will be beneficial. He is an impressive jumper, so he will need a home with a taller block wall. He has had good intros/ meeting with other dogs, but does best living in a home as the only dog, where he can get all the love and attention he craves without competition. Meet Bella, aka Specks, the lovable Pitbull mix who will steal your heart with her wagging tail and big amber eyes. (Bella) was going to be euthanized with her unborn babies if she didn't find a foster within 24hrs. I knew she had so much love to offer if she was given a chance to live. She really does deserves the world, but will be so grateful for hugs, kisses & lots of love. She's been through a lot including an emergency C-section unfortunately losing a couple babies. She is completely obsessed with her 2 little survivors, they can't be out of her sight for 30 seconds or she'll start to cry for them. She is a loyal companion that has so much to offer her future furever human. She loves running around, chewing her toys up & playing with kids. She is not aware of how big she is, so she will knock you off your feet if you are off guard but she will apologize with kisses. She is so smart, she will stand by the door when she needs to use the potty. Shes completely potty trained. She hasn't shown any signs of aggression. She really is the sweetest baby. She plays with my kids daily ages 10,6,1 yrs old. only thing she needs to work on, is going on walks & chewing up stuff that doesn't belong to her. Other than that. She's perfect
