Meet Dale! A dog whose story is one of strength, determination, and endless affection. Dale’s journey began in Costa Rica, where he survived being hit by a car more than two years ago. Although his injuries weren’t treated immediately, Dale never let that define his future. He sustained a spinal injury, but what he lacks in mobility at times, he more than makes up for in heart. Before coming to the U.S., Dale lived on a farm with many other dogs, then spent several months in the home of a veterinarian receiving more frequent laser therapy. That care continues here, along with acupuncture, and while ongoing physical therapy may bring improvement, Dale has already proven he knows how to adapt and thrive. Dale cruises confidently in his wheelchair, earning him his fitting nickname after Dale Earnhardt and when he’s out of it, he still gets around surprisingly well. Indoors, he wears a belly band to prevent accidents and happily uses a doggie door. What truly makes Dale special is his personality. He absolutely adores people and soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. He’s a devoted shadow, following his humans from room to room just to be close, and he’s a world-class snuggler. Dale does wonderfully with kids and currently lives peacefully with other dogs in his foster home. After everything he’s endured, Dale deserves a loving home where he can finally settle in and feel secure. He’ll give unwavering loyalty and affection. Hello my name is Summit . Hound mix. 6-7 months . Weight 18 lbs guessing. I’m pretty high energy . About an 8 . My personality is love to bark when others dogs get barking , sometimes brother Ridge and I like to play w our voices . Hehe. But do quite down . I’m friendly but standoffish . More on my own terms. Am loving though. Just need my own person. I love antler chews . Running around outside. Playing king of the hill w the other dogs. I’m mellow in vehicles. Im pretty much potty trained now 7 am , mid day once at least , then evening w play time. I know words kennel up , outside , inside , NO . OUT . I’m good around horses no chasing either . I’m ok w chickens and ducks w supervision. Good w cats , kittens . Some supervision w young kittens . I love water tubs . I will lay in them or rain water puddles 😇. Am learning to be led . With my brother I’m sometimes growl about my food . But fine with fosters dogs food bowls. . I do like to play w other dogs but right now like to be in their face a little to much. I think I might be good w families that have smaller children or people who don’t want to be licked a lot or people tons of overwhelming puppy attention from me. Hello my name is Ridge. I’m a hound mix 7-8 months old about 27 lbs . I’m about a 7-8 energy level. I love to play w my dog buddies. I like cats but maybe a little too much energy for kittens still . I like to play king of the hill and run in mud puddles after big rains. I’m really starting to warm up and seek attention from people now . I love feeling good included w the pack . I love treats . Im pretty much potty trained now if let out at 7 am then 1-2 x’s a day then evenings play time . Quite longer . Is my schedule right now. I know kennel up . Inside , out side . NO , OUT . I’m around horses and doing well. Also chickens and ducks. Doing well also but need someone listening for chickens/ ducks sounding distressed some cuz I can’t help but want to see them sometimes so I chase. Just that puppy energy though 😇 Same w kittens. 😇 Learning to sit . Will b working more on leash now. I’m pretty docile and mellow in a vehichle . I do like to bark when people come to door or at people walking at night w flashlight. Hehe. I’m friendly w people I know otherwise I just go about my puppy business and play w my dog friends . It has taken me a while to come out of my shell, but I am coming out of it and I’m gonna be a good dog I think for families or for sure. One person just have to be a little slower with me. I have my reservations. I’m definitely seeking human praise and wanting to be around humans more and more and more now😇 so good with anybody as long as they’re willing to give me a little bit of time to come around and don’t expect a super in your lap puppy.
