Story
Hello! My name is KORSAN and here is a little info about me:Breed: Pointer / Akbash mixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: affectionate, gentle, social, calm, loving Hope you are up for a sweet and calm boy who loves belly rubs, cuddles, and being near people I trust.I grew up in a children’s park with my two siblings, happily spending my days surrounded by families and kids. I loved the attention and affection I received from people, always ready to show my belly for pets. When a collection law was enforced, I was taken to a shelter, where I faced some rough experiences with other dogs. Thanksfully, after two months, I had rescuers mov me to a boarding facility. Here I patiently wait for the loving forever home I’ve been dreaming of.You'll find me affectionate, calm and gentle. On top of that, I have shown myself to be quite the social and loving gentleman. I form strong bonds quickly and enjoy both playtime and quiet moments with people. I'd be happiest in a home where I can feel safe, loved, and included in family life. I get along with other dog and it has been said I have safely lived with kitties before too.My ideal home will have indoor comfort, plus a yard to explore (though this isn't required, as long as we get plenty of outdoor time too.) I’d do best with a family who can continue my socialization and enjoy spending quality time with me. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no vids)Kids: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no video) Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to train meHouse trained: no. Please help me learn! Health notes: 4DX tests negativeI have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2678851##

Story
Hi there! My name is Nova, and here’s a little about me: Breed: Pointer/Hound mixAge: 2 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 50 lbsHeight: 23”Country of Origin: TurkeyHighlights: Loving, gentle, trusting, affectionate, playful, intelligent I’m a proud tripaw girl with a huge heart and an incredible spirit. I don’t let anything slow me down, and I absolutely adore cuddles, squeaky toys, and spending quality time with my humans.  I ended up in a shelter that was completely overwhelmed — dogs were rounded up from the streets, and the conditions were chaotic. When I arrived, I had been injured and my rear right leg was shattered. Thankfully, my rescuers intervened and rushed me to the vet. My leg couldn’t be saved, so I became a tripaw. Even with all I’ve been through — chaos, injury, and uncertainty — I never lost my loving, trusting nature.  I am currently in a foster home in Canada and I’m doing very well — just waiting for my forever family to come and bring me home! I bond deeply with my humans and love being close to them. I enjoy walks, mental stimulation, and learning new things. I’m gentle with dogs my size and smaller, and I can do well with larger dogs if introductions are slow and careful. I adore cuddles, squeaky toys, and have a cozy crate where I feel safe and peaceful. I would do best in a cat-free home with carpeted or non-slip flooring because I slip on smooth surfaces. I could live as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion. I’d shine with an experienced owner who understands high-drive or pointer/hound breeds and can provide consistent guidance, enrichment, and secure leash handling.  My old vids: https://youtube.com/shorts/bIadHfiXbhY  https://youtu.be/bJEHnUn1jn4 Energy Level : Moderate  I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: No Kids: Unknown Fears: I can get startled by loud vehicles or fast bicycles/scooters on walks. Please be patient and reassure me while I gain confidence. Training Leash skills: Yes — please continue training with me. House trained: Yes — please help me learn where to go in a new home. Commands: Come, Sit, Down, Stay — I love learning more! Health Notes: Tripaw (rear right leg amputation due to injury). Fully vaccinated (Rabies, KC, DHPPL) spayed & microchipped My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
Hi there! My name is June, and I’m a sweet little girl looking for a loving forever home! Breed: Pointer MixedAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kg/51lbCountry of origin: LebanonHighlight(s): Gentle, loyal, playful, and full of love I’m June — a soft, loving girl with eyes that tell a whole story. All I really want is to be loved and to belong. Left all alone on a remote road where no one ever passed by, life was tough for days — surviving on whatever could be found, even grass. One day, a hiker spotted me from afar. So thin and weak, yet the moment our eyes met, I ran straight to him, tail wagging, as if I’d known him forever. He couldn’t leave me there — he took me in, cared for me, and gave me a second chance at life. That moment will always be unforgettable, the moment when hope finally found me. I’m a gentle soul — playful, affectionate, and friendly with everyone I meet. I get along well with other dogs and absolutely adore people. I love playing, and warm hugs. I’m the kind of dog who’ll rest her head on your lap and make you feel peaceful just by being near. I’d love a loving home where I can finally feel safe and part of a family. Someone who enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and quiet evenings would be my perfect match.
