Story
Hello! My name is KORSAN and here is a little info about me:Breed: Pointer / Akbash mixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: affectionate, gentle, social, calm, loving Hope you are up for a sweet and calm boy who loves belly rubs, cuddles, and being near people I trust.I grew up in a children’s park with my two siblings, happily spending my days surrounded by families and kids. I loved the attention and affection I received from people, always ready to show my belly for pets. When a collection law was enforced, I was taken to a shelter, where I faced some rough experiences with other dogs. Thanksfully, after two months, I had rescuers mov me to a boarding facility. Here I patiently wait for the loving forever home I’ve been dreaming of.You'll find me affectionate, calm and gentle. On top of that, I have shown myself to be quite the social and loving gentleman. I form strong bonds quickly and enjoy both playtime and quiet moments with people. I'd be happiest in a home where I can feel safe, loved, and included in family life. I get along with other dog and it has been said I have safely lived with kitties before too.My ideal home will have indoor comfort, plus a yard to explore (though this isn't required, as long as we get plenty of outdoor time too.) I’d do best with a family who can continue my socialization and enjoy spending quality time with me. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no vids)Kids: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no video) Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to train meHouse trained: no. Please help me learn! Health notes: 4DX tests negativeI have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2678851##

Story
Hi there! My name is June, and I’m a sweet little girl looking for a loving forever home! Breed: Pointer MixedAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kg/51lbCountry of origin: LebanonHighlight(s): Gentle, loyal, playful, and full of love I’m June — a soft, loving girl with eyes that tell a whole story. All I really want is to be loved and to belong. Left all alone on a remote road where no one ever passed by, life was tough for days — surviving on whatever could be found, even grass. One day, a hiker spotted me from afar. So thin and weak, yet the moment our eyes met, I ran straight to him, tail wagging, as if I’d known him forever. He couldn’t leave me there — he took me in, cared for me, and gave me a second chance at life. That moment will always be unforgettable, the moment when hope finally found me. I’m a gentle soul — playful, affectionate, and friendly with everyone I meet. I get along well with other dogs and absolutely adore people. I love playing, and warm hugs. I’m the kind of dog who’ll rest her head on your lap and make you feel peaceful just by being near. I’d love a loving home where I can finally feel safe and part of a family. Someone who enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and quiet evenings would be my perfect match. Story
Name: Taki Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Pointer mix Color: White & Black Weight: 16 kg Height (shoulder): 57 cm   Rescue Story Taki entered a municipal shelter in December 2025, wearing a collar, which suggests he may have been abandoned. He was rescued just before euthanasia and transferred to our care in March.   ‍‍ With People Taki is an affectionate and social boy who loves being around people. He happily approaches both familiar and new people, leaning in for pets and attention. He is comfortable being handled and can be picked up by placing arms under his belly. Once he bonds with you, he will even roll over to show his belly.   With Other Dogs Taki is friendly and eager to interact with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite them to play. If other dogs don’t engage, he may bark to express his desire to join in. He tends to be more comfortable with dogs of similar or smaller size and will avoid overly energetic or confrontational dogs. While he enjoys playing with dogs, he generally prefers people over other dogs when given the choice.   With Cats When he sees cats during walks, he shows curiosity but can be redirected easily and follows his handler well. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level Taki has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but he settles down nicely afterward. He loves to play, but his stamina is not very high—he often lies down to rest during play sessions.   ‍ Walks Taki is curious and enjoys sniffing, so he tends to move side to side during walks. He may pull occasionally when excited, and he is currently learning to walk calmly beside his handler.   Other Notes   Not possessive over food with people or dogs, but has a strong appetite and may try to take others’ food May show mild separation-related barking at first, but settles down after a while Uses barking to express wants, especially toward other dogs during play Very responsive and perceptive—he reads human emotions well and quickly understands boundaries Calm and quiet in a kennel Rides well in a crate and gets in and out of the car on his own Currently does outdoor potty   Personality Taki is a simple, pure-hearted, and joyful dog who brings warmth and happiness to those around him. His innocent and loving nature makes him incredibly endearing. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! She has a calm and quiet nature, but she also knows how to have fun when it’s time to play. After playtime, she happily settles down and rests — and she does appreciate her downtime. She is gentle, social, and very people-oriented. 👩‍👨‍👧 Social Skills With women: Very good With men: Very good With children: Good With other dogs: Friendly and well-mannered With cats: She may look at them out of curiosity, but if redirected, she quickly loses interest 🏡 Training & Habits Potty trained: 100% pee pad trained and 100% outdoor trained Crate trained: Excellent — very comfortable in her crate Leash manners: Walks nicely and follows well. She only pulls slightly when she needs to potty Car rides: Loves car rides and usually falls asleep after getting in ⚡ Energy Level Moderate. Story
Hi, I’m Jacob - a gentle and thoughtful boy ready to find a loving family. Breed: Border Collie / Pointer mixAge: 5.5 yearsGender: Male, neuteredWeight: 26 lbs (12 kg)Height: 17 in (42 cm)Energy Level: Moderate  Jacob was abandoned by his previous owner at around five months old and ended up in a poorly run pet shop, where he was confined in a small room with too many other dogs. The dogs were extremely stressed due to the lack of space, exercise, and proper care. It is believed that Jacob was mistreated there, including being handled roughly by his collar. Thankfully, he was rescued by compassionate people in October 2022 and moved to a caring dog hotel environment where he finally had the chance to feel safe and begin healing from his past trauma. Since then, Jacob has made incredible progress and has come such a long way. I tend to be a little shy to strangers, but I warm up easily. I'm very food-motivated. I would actively approach strangers to take treats. Once I'm more comfortable, I'll show my belly. Due to repeated ear infections, I'm sensitive about my ears being touched. Except my ears, I have no problem with being touched. I say hi to new dogs gently, but I don't usually play with them. Because of my past bad memories, I tend to try to monopolize my humans' attention and can get a bit jealous toward other dogs when I have to share the attention. A home where I can be the only dog would be ideal for me. My handler said, even though I see cats during a walk, I tend to focus on my handler. I get along with: Dogs: Yes (I don't play with them) Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown Training: Leash-trained: Yes (my new family can continue helping me build confidence) House-trained: Yes (I can also use indoor pads, but I prefer going outside) Health: Neutered and microchipped Up to date on vaccinations My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.
