Meet Huck! SEE STRAYCATION UPDATES BELOW! HOUSE & CRATE-TRAINED BOY WHO ADORES OTHER DOGS & EVERYONE HE MEETS! This 48-pound pointer mix is two years old and has a dazzling smile that nobody can deny! Huck enjoyed a few days away from the kennel and he aims to impress! He is both house and crate-trained. He knows multiple commands and is eager to learn more. He absolutely loves other dogs and is great at picking up on cues from other pups. Huck is all about a good time and is a fan of all sorts of toys and treats. He's very food-motivated which makes an excellent tool for training. His foster mom was able to take both toys and food away with no issue. We just can't say enough good things about this boy! He's a rockstar at every event he goes to! He recently participated in a 5k run with one of our volunteers at Orion Oaks Dog Park. He was so well-behaved and had the best time with all of his friends-people and pups alike! Huck went on an outing with one of our awesome volunteers and he's quite the explorer. They hit the trail and he followed his nose, enjoying all the new smells along the way. He rides well in the car and walks good on his leash too. Next stop was the Metamora Farmers Market where he experienced all sorts of new things. He even hung out with some new friends along the way and was very well-behaved for some young kids that came up to meet him. As he is still a young man, Huck will benefit from daily exercise, continued training and a yard to enjoy in his new home. He will thrive in an active home with lots of physical and mental stimulation and a family that will include him in their daily activities. He just loves to be part of the fun! At the end of the day, he sleeps quietly through the night. If you're looking for a handsome, ridiculously affectionate, intelligent, playful, blanket-stealing, toy-delivering, snuggle bug who will make absolutely certain you never forget when it's time to go outside...Huck is your man! Based on our evaluation, we feel Huck would best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. Stewart has the most perfect sit! He is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 29 pounds right now but is sure to get bigger. Meet Stewart, a gorgeous puppy with the cutest speckles everywhere! This highly intelligent and active little guy is full of life, always ready for playtime and adventure. He's already mastered the "sit" command, showing off his smarts and eagerness to learn more. He loves toys and is just starting to learn to play fetch, whether he decides to bring it back to you or not is another story, but he will get it! Stewart does have a frantic response to his food bowl being taken. He is catching on to "sit and wait" at the bowl and is even starting to randomly sit in the hopes for a food reward. His new family will need to continue working on this with him, he is looking to you for direction and wanting to learn. Working on his puppy mouthiness will also be a priority. Stewart is a bundle of energy and charm, needing an experienced adopter who can provide the firm leadership, boundaries and the mental and physical stimulation he requires. If you're up for the challenge and ready to shower this smart boy with love, training, and plenty of fun activities, Stewart would love it if you came to meet him. He will need an adult only home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Stewart would love to meet them. He has an "all in" approach with other dogs that moves into a rougher balanced play.
