Story
When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I have lots of energy for running, jumping and playing and I have the handsome chiseled jaw that most actors would love to have! Now if you need a great looking chap, look my way!!! ADOPT...........DON'T SHOP!!! My LIFE depends on it!!! LOcal adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Birdie is a sweet name for this sweet and spicy girl! She is a pointer mix and definitely has the drive of a pointer, in a smaller body :) I found myself recently, wandering around in S Texas looking for a loving family to save me! Luckily I found just the right foster family! Now, I TRY not to chase the chickens on their mini farm...however, haven't you heard?? Chicken is the first white meat and I just like it! SoOOOOO, needless to say, Birdie is not good with prey type animals in the house- cats, chickens, cute birds, lizards, etc etc.... Birdie does have some AMAZING qualities as well.... I LOVE KIDS!!! (there I said it), I would be and ideal family dog. I love other playful dogs as well so that is no problem to meld into a famil with their other dog. I am a "petite flower" about 40# of total love who is waiting for you to step up and save my life!! APPLY NOW!! ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!! Our dogs lives' depend on it!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $ 400 plus tax   Meet Yuri!     A smart and friendly boy who is always ready for adventure! Yuri would love to find an active family who enjoys getting outside for walks or hikes. He is very social and enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes/ages. Yuri would prefer a home with a fenced yard and plenty of room to chase a ball. He likes to be where the action is, but also enjoys relaxing on the couch for a nap or belly rub. Yuri is housetrained and well behaved when home alone, so he doesn't need a crate and doesn't have separation anxiety. He is great on car rides and easy to take along on outings. Since Yuri is a young strong dog, who loves chasing squirrels, basic training on loose leash walking would be helpful. If you are looking for a sweet, playful dog, who is eager to please, Yuri is your guy!           *If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
Looking for an enthusiastic greeter with a wagging tail and a love for belly rubs? Oden might be your perfect match! This energetic Labrador Retriever (born October 2018) is a loyal goofball who wears his heart on his sleeve. Be warned: cheeseburgers are his kryptonite, so keep an eye on the counter! Despite his occasional size miscalculations (watch out for furniture!), Oden is a well-trained pup who is eager to please. He's mastered potty training, basic commands, crate time, and loves car rides. Oden gets along with other dogs when introductions are calm, and respects their boundaries. He's a true people-lover, but his excitement will lead to a booming bark when meeting new faces. But once he gets to know you, usually a couple minutes, he will be best friends. While Oden adores children, his size can be overwhelming for smaller humans. Leash walking needs some work, but with love and training, he'll be a walking pro in no time. One thing to note: Oden isn't a fan of feline friends. It is also recommended to have a light calming medication for stressful events, such as a vet appointment.   Oden's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2024, 10:28 am
