Story
Sweet little Bea was running around rural Georgia with her sidekick for several weeks after apparently being dumped. Everybody in the area said they were friendly, but no one knew them so they called animal control. The girls were very bonded at first, but we feel like their first love is people. They want to love people and be loved so badly but when they didn’t have any people, they became very attached to each other. Her sidekick has now found her forever home and it’s Miss Bea’s turn now. She’s exceptionally sweet and outgoing. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car. She also loves to snuggle on the couch. Bea is 22 pounds and between four and five years old. WE ARE ONLY GUESSING AT HER BREED! She does not really have a JRT temperament but she has the size and cute little short tail. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm tested negative. She appears to be a very healthy and happy girl. She had a couple of accidents the first day in her foster home but now she’s doing very well with house training if you would like to be Miss Bea’s hero and the center of her world, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or Dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send you our information and application. Story
Bubba is some sort of pointer mix and is about 4 years old. Such a sweet boy who has always welcomed affection and has such a love for life. When we found him, he was quite emaciated and required proper refeeding and lots of love. Our family felt as though he found us for a reason and therefore he has been at home with us, hoping his owners may respond to social media posts however this never happened and unfortunately, he was never microchipped. He is doing really well right now in regards to having gained appropriate weight and although we will miss him, we are not in a position to keep him long term. Bubba is a high energy dog that thinks he is a lap dog:) Requires ability to get significant amount of exercise daily. Loves walks, car rides and palling around. Knows basic commands. Walks well on a leash but requires redirection with bunnies/other dogs/some people as he will bark. Has started to play along fence line with neighbors dog. Warming up to our FIVE cats :)

These pups are in Minneapolis, Minnesota too!

Story
Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Bullwinkle is a 12 pound ball of puppy mischief, charm, and pure joy. He’s energetic, curious, and always ready for his next adventure — whether that’s sprinting around the house at top speed, wrestling with his brother, or proudly carrying around whatever toy he can get his tiny paws on. When he’s done zooming, he collapses into the nearest dog bed (usually one overflowing with toys) and becomes the sweetest little snuggler. He loves all toys — squeaky toys, tennis balls, bones, socks, stuffed animals — if it’s fun to chew or chase, Bullwinkle is all in. He’s affectionate, goofy, and loves giving face kisses. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and has a naturally happy, social personality. Bullwinkle is doing great with potty&#226&#128&#145pad training and is almost fully consistent, with just a couple of accidents a day. He sleeps through the night in a crate with his brother, settling after a few minutes of whining, and keeps his crate clean. Because he’s still a baby, he’ll need continued guidance with leash training, manners, and all the basics — but he’s smart, eager to please, and very food&#226&#128&#145motivated. He hasn’t had much outdoor or car experience yet, but given his curiosity and confidence, he’ll likely take new adventures in stride once introduced. He would thrive in either an apartment or a house and would love having another dog to play with, though it’s not required. Bullwinkle is a loving, joyful little pup who wants nothing more than to be part of a family. With patience, playtime, and lots of affection, he’ll grow into a loyal, fun, and deeply loving companion. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Rocky is a 12&#226&#128&#145pound bundle of spunk, curiosity, and pure puppy joy. He’s energetic, playful, and always on the move — running, exploring, giving kisses, and then running some more. He’s currently being fostered with his brother and absolutely loves chasing him around the house. After he’s worn himself out, Rocky becomes a sweet little cuddler who melts right into your arms. He loves all toys — bones, squeaky toys, tennis balls, socks, stuffed animals — if he can grab it, he’s thrilled. He’s very food&#226&#128&#145motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He’s great with other dogs and would thrive with another dog who can match his play style. He’s also apartment&#226&#128&#145friendly as long as he gets enough playtime and engagement. Because he’s still a baby, Rocky needs a patient adopter who understands puppyhood — including leash training, continued potty training, and plenty of supervision. He’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and very affectionate. He’s also extremely curious, so baby&#226&#128&#145proofing is a must. Rocky is a loyal, loving little guy who will grow into a wonderful companion. Whether adopted alone or with his brother, he’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless puppy antics to his forever home. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue.
