Story
Arnie is a very sweet and charming mix of Anatolian Shepherd and English Pointer. He loves to sit beside his people and play with other dogs. He is house trained and will stand by the door or whine when he needs to go out. On occasion, he will ring the dog bell. He sleeps in a crate at night. He likes his people to be nearby when he is sleeping. He sits, comes when he is called and does well on a leash. He is living with cats and is gentle. He loves to play and would be fine with another dog in the house. Arnie is currently 55 lbs and will get bigger, but he is a calm boy. His adoption fee is $800. Arnie is being fostered in Waterloo. Story
Kody Breed: Pointer/ Cattle Dog mix Gender: Male Weights: 46 lbs Age: 2 yrs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: yes Good with kids: Yes older kids Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Leash Trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Health Concerns: None HW status: Negative Spay/neutered?: Yes Tell us about this dog: Kody was saved from euthanization at a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Tx. It is believed that at some point Kody was physically abused and would get defensive when he felt threatened. Kody has come a long ways and his trust in people has grew more and more everyday. He is an active fun boy who loves kids, getting belly rubs, and playing with toys. Kody is very treat motivated and is eager to learn new things. He enjoys car rides. Kody loves going for walks, hiking, and/or jogging. Kody had been through behavioral training prior to coming into our rescue. These are notes from the trainer. Kody knows multiple commands. Below are the commands he knows and notes from his trainer: - look at me/pay attention Sit Come here- recall Touch- nose to hand target command Wait- pause in action- ESPECIALLY at doors!! Settle- relax Leave it- back away and leave that alone (barking/fixation/food/ leash excitement) Place- go to k-bed (point) Let’s go- change in direction/follow me Kennel- go into kennel or crate “Uh-uh”(buzzer type sound) or firm NO SIR for verbal correction. “Ok” for release WITH FOOD- - ANY resource guarding must be corrected verbally and redirected with obedience. As soon as he trusts you he is fine, but with new people He will test. ANY physical threat or punishment will overwhelm and escalate him- his behavior demonstrated that someone tried to punish the growling out of him and he gets defensive- you must redirect him into the bed and release him to eat when friendly and calm. He is calmer and eats better in a home environment- crate, hand feeding or bowl by your feet in a house he does well with. In a kennel he tends to be more defensive, so work outside the kennel barrier, then move inside and get him comfortable with you being in there with him while he eats before touching him while he eats. Story
ELLIE" is a POINTER MIX, about 4 years old and weights aprox. 25 kg. "ELLIE" was saved by Anastasia herself who believed the dog to be pregnant so she picked her up from the street in order to have our vet check her out and then bring her to our sanctuary to safely deliver her babies. But the stop at our vet proved that "ELLIE" was simply fat. Needless to say that Anastasia did not return the dog to that area but brought her in to our sanctuary where she's been loved and cared for ever since. Anastasia found out later that a woman in that neighborhood in order to keep the strays around her house as a security system kept overfeeding them with all the wrong things.. "ELLIE" is a picture of health. And with the proper diet, food and exercise she lost all excess weight and is now perfectly fit! She is also fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. In addition she has been housebroken and leash trained. "ELLIE" is quite human centered. She immediately hits it off with strangers and absolutely adores to be petted. She is also very food oriented and easily trainable. She is social with other dogs, but very eclectic and choosy when it comes to playmates. "ELLIE" would be happy in any sort of family. Story
DUKE is a POINTER MIX, 4 years old and weights approx 24kg. "DUKE" was found by a SPFG friend who was out in the woods with her dog. He was unconscious and starved almost to death, just skin on bones. He was one of the countless puppies hunters abandon when they discover they can't use them or sell them for hunting or breeding. Anastasia took him straight to our vet and called us. After a long phase of convalescence, followed a long period of recuperation; but now "DUKE" is a picture of health, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, also housebroken and leash trained. "DUKE" is an absolutely carefree boy who just loves everyone and everything, dogs, cats, people, strangers, bees, toads, car rides, doctors, butterflies, food. He gets excited seeing his friends even after a 5 min parting. He is curious, inquisitive and as a hunting dog has unlimited energy outdoors, whereas he calms inside. "DUKE" is a sensitive boy, very affectionate who needs gentle handling. He would be happy in any type of family, if he has ways to spend all that energy. Story
PLEASE NOTE LOBITO IS A DIRECT ADOPTION FROM MEXICO. ONCE ADOPTED HE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO ADOPTER AND IT IS RECOMMENDED HE BE ENROLLED IN TRAINING CLASSES. We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Loboito Age: 4 months old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: We expect he wiil grow to medium size (35lb) Location: MEXICO (Everything, including transport is included in adoption fee) Adoption fee: $700.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Work in progress Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, good with dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Lobito is one of 9 puppies who were newborns in our sister rescue’s shelter SOS el Arca in Mexico. His poor mama was chained to a house and left by her owner. She was very fearful of anyone that would come around her. A neighbour broke the chain but she would not move and wandered the area. All the other neighbours around her didn’t want her there and began to throw stones and beat her. The shelter was told about her and found out she was very pregnant. They needed to trap her immediately, or her babies would surely be killed. They tried many times but she was so scared she would not allow anyone around. Fortunately, she did deliver her babies and there was the opportunity to take the babies so she would follow. Lobito is a beautiful boy who deserves to be in a beautiful home. The shelter is overwhelmed with puppies right now and we need this beautiful baby to come to us to have a life he deserves not one living in a kennel for months and months. He is a sweet boy, happy and playful. He is a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous but with training (mandatory with proof of receipt) will develop into a beautiful dog. isr potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter, crate training and routine will assist greatly with this. His ideal home would be one with or without another dog, a fenced in yard backyard to expend his energy as he gets a little older. Respectful children and someone who works from home, at least part of the day is a must. If you feel you would be the right fit for Lobito, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Name: Emma Age: 3 years old Gender: Female Neutralization: Completed Breed: Pointer Mix Color: Black and White Spotty Weight: 46 LB (21kg) Hello!! My human friends!! I am Emma, an energetic Pointer mix aged 3. I am a lovely girl with warm heart and brightness. However, people did not know me, and I was on the list of euthanasia at the city shelter. Fortunately, a kind rescuer saved me, and here I am. Now, I am sooooo ready to meet my lovy dovy happy family. I am very bright girl with full of charming energy. I love people’s attention and being petted. On the spot of meeting new people, my tail does not stop wagging and my ears get flat with happiness. My handler said that it was so difficult to take a picture of me with proper ear shape because they got flat all the time when I was with people. I really enjoy being companion with people and I assertively approach to them to be petted. If you rub my belly, I will melt down immediately for more petting. I am very good with new doggie friends. I usually say hi gently to them and then, just mind my own business. I can share treats with them and smell out each other to get to know. Though I am more interested in people and exploring new environments. Outdoor activities and exercising are my favorite things. As I am a Pointer, I need to consume my energy properly. Otherwise, I may get stressed out. I also need to take my potty break outside, so regular strolling is essential for me. I may get excited when I go for walk and pull on leash a bit but this should be settle down soon with some training, for sure. If you need a companion who can enjoy a lot of energetic activities together, I am here for you. :D If you see me, you will instantly realize how adorable I am. I have bright energy and easy-going personality. Let me spread my happy virus to you. We can have lots of fun adventures together!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9llIlTwDg6Q&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzewDjO_YZjw6S8DZTZAgbu ❤ we accept both Canada/US applicants ❤

Story
Brown is probably one of the most happy dogs we’ve ever known ! He is excited for just about anything- walks, treats, belly rubs… you name it ! Brown is high energy and looking for a family that can provide him with lots of exercise and training on a daily basis. Brown is great meeting all people including kids! He is jumpy at times and would not be suitable in a home with very small kids. Brown is being assessed with dogs and doing well with female dogs. He will require careful interactions with dogs to ensure he is going to be friendly. Brown was transferred to us from another shelter where he was rescued from a neglect and cruelty situation.

Jack is a favourite among our staff, giving hugs every time we enter his room! He is a laid back, medium energy dog who enjoys attention, but he also at times needs his space. Jack is always proud to show off new tricks and happily struts his stuff on walks. He would be the best sidekick to take on car rides and out for adventures! Jack requires an adult home with no other dogs or cats. If someone gets in Jack's face while he is uncomfortable he may be provoked enough to bite, and needs space until he is more relaxed. Jack can be reactive and aggressive towards all animals and will need management with this. He is super food motivated and clicker trained which makes walking a breeze!
