Story
My name is Narin, and I'm a 1-year and 5-month-old English Black Pointer girl. I have a real soft spot for humans – once I get to know you, I'll be showing off my adorable belly and showering you with all the love and cuddles you could ever dream of. I thrive on affection and sometimes, I can get a little jealous when I see others getting attention. I get along well with other dogs. Although, I must confess, when it comes to food, I can be a bit protective. If you leave a tasty treat lying around, you might hear a little growl from me as I make sure it's safe. But don't worry, I'm working on my table manners. Right now, I'm staying in a foster home, and I've been on my best behavior around the other pups here. My foster parents say I'm a quick learner and always eager to please. Being a Pointer, I've got some quirks that come with the territory. I might let out a howl from time to time, and I've got some impressive speed when I'm on the move. That's why I think I'd thrive in a home with active, young individuals who are ready for adventures. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzEcFIh0FJBMOlIJRUtlXdm

Story
Kody Breed: Pointer/ Cattle Dog mix Gender: Male Weights: 46 lbs Age: 2 yrs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: yes Good with kids: Yes older kids Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Leash Trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Health Concerns: None HW status: Negative Spay/neutered?: Yes Tell us about this dog: Kody was saved from euthanization at a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Tx. It is believed that at some point Kody was physically abused and would get defensive when he felt threatened. Kody has come a long ways and his trust in people has grew more and more everyday. He is an active fun boy who loves kids, getting belly rubs, and playing with toys. Kody is very treat motivated and is eager to learn new things. He enjoys car rides. Kody loves going for walks, hiking, and/or jogging. Kody had been through behavioral training prior to coming into our rescue. These are notes from the trainer. Kody knows multiple commands. Below are the commands he knows and notes from his trainer: - look at me/pay attention Sit Come here- recall Touch- nose to hand target command Wait- pause in action- ESPECIALLY at doors!! Settle- relax Leave it- back away and leave that alone (barking/fixation/food/ leash excitement) Place- go to k-bed (point) Let’s go- change in direction/follow me Kennel- go into kennel or crate “Uh-uh”(buzzer type sound) or firm NO SIR for verbal correction. “Ok” for release WITH FOOD- - ANY resource guarding must be corrected verbally and redirected with obedience. As soon as he trusts you he is fine, but with new people He will test. ANY physical threat or punishment will overwhelm and escalate him- his behavior demonstrated that someone tried to punish the growling out of him and he gets defensive- you must redirect him into the bed and release him to eat when friendly and calm. He is calmer and eats better in a home environment- crate, hand feeding or bowl by your feet in a house he does well with. In a kennel he tends to be more defensive, so work outside the kennel barrier, then move inside and get him comfortable with you being in there with him while he eats before touching him while he eats. Story
Sweet puppy Dawn is now available for adoption. She is being fostered in the Smith Falls area. PLEASE READ DAWN’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: DAWN IS BEING FOSTERED IN SMITH FALLS, ONTARIO We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Dawn Age: 9 months Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 25 lbs Location: Smith Falls, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, good with dogs, cats children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Dawn’s mama arrived in the shelter weak, malnourished and so thin that unbeknownst to the shelter staff she was pregnant. The next morning Dawn and her siblings were born and thankfully, off the street so it was a blessing because now the puppies would be properly nourished, vetted and taken care of. Since arriving to her foster, Dawn has slowly come out of her shell but she is still quite timid and needs time to gain trust. Loud noises are scary for her but she is adjusting beautifully. She is still a puppy and does have puppy energy, and she will need training to help her with manners. Dawn is a sweet, beautiful pup that deserves a forever home. Dawn loves to hug her special blanket and she lifts her paw up when she sits. She collects all her toys one by one and takes them out to the yard until they are piled right where she wants them. She is a bit nervous in the car but with practice we feel she will get more comfortable and relaxed. Dawn’s ideal home would be a quiet one with a fully secured fenced yard where she could spend some time basing in the sun quietly or run around. Potential adopters would need to let her expend her energy with walks. She needs practice getting in and out of cars and seems to be drawn to her mama foster at the moment. Dawn is fully house trained, crate trained and is living with dogs and cats. We believe children 6+ will be fine for her. She is a true gem and we can’t wait for her to find a home of her own. If you feel you would be the right fit for sweet little Dawn, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety . NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
You will absolutely fall in love with Toby. His foxy face, amber eyes and doggy grin just all melt your heart. Toby hails originally from Mexico, so he has had some challenges. Toby needs his new owners to understand that he doesn't have much understanding of the outside world and that bringing him into their home will be just like bringing home a new puppy- starting from scratch! Toby will need training and structure right from the start, so that he can learn what being a well behaved, well loved pet is all about. Until his training is well under way, Toby will be a flight risk, so his new owners will do everything possible to keep him safe. His ideal home has no small children under 10, as we don't want to overwhelm him with the attention, noise and activities of small children. Toby is genuinely afraid of cats, so no cats or small animals in his new home. With some structure and consistency, this sweet boy will make the lucky family that chooses him very happy.

Story
"DUKE" is now a picture of health, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, also housebroken and leash trained. He is an absolutely carefree boy who just loves everyone and everything, dogs, cats, people, strangers, bees, toads, car rides, doctors, butterflies, food. He gets excited seeing his friends even after a 5 min parting. He is curious and as a hunting dog he has unlimited energy outdoors, whereas he calms inside. He is a sensitive boy though who needs gentle handling. If interested in adopting our active "DUKE" please visit our website to fill out an application at; www.straypawsfromgreece.com
