Malley is a 1.5 year old female Pointer mix who weighs around 40 lbs. She is a wonderful pup who is great with all animals and people including children. Malley is spayed, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Our pets come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. Current Location: Strasburg, VA Hello, my name is Dottie! I'm thought to be a Pointer mix, about 2 years old and currently weigh about 40 pounds. I'm a submissive gal with a sweet temperament and do very well with the people and dogs I've met. I love, love, love to snuggle and like nothing better than to sit next to my people and get lots of attention and hugs. I'm also house trained and walk well on the leash. I just weaned my litter of pups and will be spayed on 12/1. I'm heartworm positive and will receive treatment on 12/15 and can go home with my new family in time to celebrate the new year. I am microchipped, current on my vaccines and monthly preventives, and will be spayed and have received heartworm treatment prior to adoption. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
