Chip is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big heart and an impressive affinity for fetch – he’s truly a natural athlete! Whether he’s chasing a ball or entertaining himself with his toys, Chip brings a playful spirit and joy to everyday life. He also loves baths! Chip may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch or lying at your feet while you work. He’s still a puppy, though, and can get a little mouthy or overly excited during play but redirects well when given cues and boundaries. He will thrive in a home that offers structure and encouragement where he can continue building confidence. • Secure yard: Chip loves having space to run and play freely. • Exercise: He’s an active pup who benefits from regular playtime. He’s improving on leash walks but can still be a little fearful in new environments. • Companions: Chip has done well with other dogs, from calm companions to rough-and-rowdy playmates. He is also good with cats! • Crate trained: Chip does well in his crate and settles nicely, sometimes putting himself in for naps or chew toy time. He sleeps through the night and does not have crate accidents. • Potty training: Chip is still working on potty training and will need continued consistency and routine. • Toys: Chip has experienced a lot of change in his short life so far and can sometimes be protective of toys or high-value items, but he responds well to trades and positive reinforcement. • Kids: Chip does well with older children who can respect his space and help him continue building confidence. Flo-Retriever/Pointer X female, ~ 3-4yr. (July 2024)(Photos taken July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Flo came to Rescue with her 5 tiny puppies, from a high kill big city shelter. She and her babies on the list to lose their lives to euthanasia that very day. This was happening only because the shelter was way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Flo went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. She been a good mother, raised her babies and has settled in to family life. She's about 50-55#, full of intelligence and life. She plays well with the other foster dogs, is very social. She's an active young adult and will enjoy a life that is active. Best of all, she loves people and wants to interact with humans. She would be an excellent hiking or walking partner. Flo can be a little too interested in cats, so she's looking for homes that does not have cats. Flo's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption .
