Story
Flo-Retriever/Pointer X female, ~ 3-4yr. (July 2024)(Photos taken July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Flo came to Rescue with her 5 tiny puppies, from a high kill big city shelter. She and her babies on the list to lose their lives to euthanasia that very day. This was happening only because the shelter was way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Flo went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. She been a good mother, raised her babies and has settled in to family life. She's about 50-55#, full of intelligence and life. She plays well with the other foster dogs, is very social. She's an active young adult and will enjoy a life that is active. Best of all, she loves people and wants to interact with humans. She would be an excellent hiking or walking partner. Flo can be a little too interested in cats, so she's looking for homes that does not have cats. Flo's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption . For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- MUTTLEY IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.  Valley View Animal Rescue email: amybennettwashburn@gmail.com Phone: (540) 862-1756Muttley is one of eight puppies we took in back in August of 2025. Six of his siblings have been adopted, but he and his brother, Scrappy, are still looking for furever homes! He is a playful and curious pal with very adoring eyes and loves everyone that he meets. While he prefers to dine alone at a table for one, he loves playing with other pups and would enjoy a canine sibling. Muttley wants to be your next best friend to take EVERYWHERE, whether it be Petsmart, family gatherings, or a day out in nature. He would best suit a home with a fenced-in yard and someone willing to continue his training.   Would you consider making him a new member of your household? Call our number listed above or apply for his adoption at: https://forms.office.com/r/qpqJJH6CD2 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 2, 2026, 4:25 pm

Gracie is just the sweetest, happiest puppy! She's old enough to be past the super nibbling stage but young enough to learn all her tricks with you! Gracie absolutely loves every person, child and dog she meets! She can play hard and nap with the best of them! She has a sweet soul. She's a 40-ish pound pointer mix, has a lean build, and is probably around 10 months old. If you're looking for a playmate and snuggle buddy, Gracie may be your girl!

His favorite things include curling up next to his person, sleeping snuggled in bed all night, getting his ears scratched, belly rubs, and happily chewing on a good bone. He’s confident, playful, and full of personality—the kind of dog who will keep you smiling and make you feel like the center of his world. He does best as the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention he deserves. He’s wonderful with adults and teenagers (not yet tested with little kids) and would thrive with someone willing to continue working on leash manners while enjoying all the love and loyalty he has to give.      This sweet, cuddly boy is ready to be someone’s devoted best friend. Apply today!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. My name is Penny, and I’m a sweet little Pointer mix (best guess) with a big heart and an even bigger wiggle. I was found as a stray in rural Georgia, and when no one came to claim me, the kind folks at K-9 Lifesavers stepped in and rescued me. I may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from my happy personality!  I’m your typical friendly, loving puppy. I love other dogs, I adore people, and I’m always ready to hand out plenty of wet-nose kisses and enthusiastic butt wiggles. Making new friends is one of my favorite things! I’m also at a wonderful age for training, learning, and socializing, which means I’m ready to grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be with a family to guide me. I just know my forever home is out there somewhere. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy puppy who will fill your days with love, laughter, and lots of tail wags, then I might just be your girl.     Apply today and change this deserving girl’s life forever — I promise to love you right back! Story
Roxy came to us from a very sad situation living a life outside and often tied up. She was loaded with ticks, and during her spay surgery it was discovered she had early stage Lyme disease. She is now treated for it and is ready to find her own loving forever home where she can be part of a family. Roxy is a 1-year old puppy, Pointer and American Staffordshire Terrier mix who currently weighs 45 lbs. She is people and dog friendly and has no reactivity towards cats on her walks. She has been around children age 12 and up and has been very cuddly with them right from the start. However, she is a fearful initially of strangers and will try to hide and avoids them. It will take her a little time to get used to new people in her life. Once she feels safe and comfortable around them, Roxy becomes a total love bug wanting cuddles and belly rubs and gives lots of kisses in return. When Roxy arrived at her foster home she exhibited some separation anxiety when left alone overnight inside her crate. But she is getting so much better about it and is getting used to the routine. We think it would be helpful for Roxy to find a home where someone works from home most of the time or is home with her during the day. She is used to sleeping inside her crate at night and is doing well with it now. She would also benefit having a fenced yard where she can run and play off leash with another dog. She loves to play with dogs and her toys, and chew on her chew toys. Roxy walks well on a leash and enjoys her walks. She also loves playing with her fury friends big and small at her foster home. She seems to enjoy being in water, baths not so much but will tolerate them. If you think you can provide a patient and loving home for Roxy, please send an email to NeedfulSoulsDogRescue@gmail.com or respond to this post.
