Story
Rosie is one of the best dogs in the world! She is a curious, sweet, and very happy 2 year old girl who enjoys both a life of excitement and ease.
Weighing in as a lightweight 20 lbs, you might guess she has more of a small dog “personality,” but nope! She knows she is a big dog (), and her new best friend is a tall Viszla puppy! They love to play and cavort around during play dates, with plenty of breaks for naps in between. In the evenings she enjoys movie nights on the couch with plenty of treats and cuddles.
Rosie’s foster mom thinks she was raised with tons of love and that certainly shows since she is an absolute honey bunny who brings joy to everyone she meets, both big and small. She is also cat approved, walks perfectly on leash, and is up for anything from camping, paddle boarding, hiking, or jogging. Please keep in mind wonder dog likes to be entertaining, and as such she would even be a great girl to take to work.
She is fully potty trained and is probably bilingual, as she knows “sit,” in both English and Spanish. This girl is super smart! It is not known how Rosie ended up in a rural Colorado shelter, but she became a fast favorite there, especially with the visiting children. She would do best in a home that will honor her sociability and curious wonder, since Rosie asks to meet everyone she sees. If given a chance, she would be friends with deer, foxes, or even grasshoppers. Having another dog or cat to keep her company would be ideal because otherwise she fully expects to go everywhere that a human does, which is probably why she is so friendly, that is probably what she used to do. Otherwise, she does fine at home alone with a fur buddy. She is an absolute hoot, so prepare to laugh frequently at her gentle and kind bravery!
