Story
Meet Rubi Female DOB: February 5, 2026 Weight: 20 pounds current Breed: Chi / Terrier Mix Expected Size: Medium when fully grown Spayed (Fixed): Vaccines: In Progress Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Rubi is a sweet, affectionate puppy with a loving personality and playful spirit. She enjoys spending time with her people, exploring her surroundings, and soaking up all the attention and affection she can get. Like many puppies, she is curious about the world and excited to learn new things every day. Rubi has intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and a strong desire to bond with her family. Black Mouth Cur mixes are often known for their devotion and eagerness to please, while Terriers bring curiosity, confidence, and playful energy. Rubi is expected to mature into a small adult dog. Rubi would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to her physical and emotional well-being Puppies are adorable, but they are also a major responsibility that requires patience, training, supervision, and long-term commitment. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even very young puppies require guidance and supervision to learn how to become confident, well-mannered adult dogs. Puppies are not automatically trained simply because they are young. While we work hard to provide safety, care, and basic socialization, adopters should expect to continue all training and development after adoption. Adopting a puppy means being prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing phases Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Jumping and playful puppy behavior Continued socialization and confidence-building Daily exercise and enrichment Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Financial commitment throughout the dog's lifetime Rubi will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, puppies like Rubi grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Rubi will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Puppies require regular veterinary care throughout their first year, including booster vaccines, wellness exams, and spay surgery when age-appropriate. Because Rubi is still young and growing, adopters should be prepared for the normal puppy stages that include chewing, teething, accidents, testing boundaries, and continued social development. Rubi is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Rex is a 2-3 year old Chiweenie mix (we are guessing).  Rex came from a hoarding case in Texas where there were 40+ dogs.  Rex and all his siblings have made their way to CO, been fully vetted, and are ready to find their very own families.  Rex's foster Momma says that if she could have another dog she would keep little Rex in a heartbeat.  Rex is the most loving little dog.  He gets along well with other dogs big and small, cats, kids, you name it.  He loves to follow his foster Momma around to house and is always curious what shes up to.  He would do well in a home with another dog, but it's not 100% necessary as long as he is very loved and gets all the snuggles in the world.  Rex and all the other dogs from this hoarding case do take a little bit of time to warm up to new humans, so his family will have to be a little patient and give him a few days to come out of his shell and really blossom, but once he does, he's just perfect.  He is also doing great with leash and potty training. Story
Maisy is a 2-3 year old Chihahua/Dachshund mix (we think?) who came from a hoarding case in Texas with almost 20 other dogs.  There were over 40 in the home, but our rescue was able to bring just over 20 to Colorado.  Maisy has been in Colorado over a month now, is fully vetted, and ready to find her perfect forever family! Don’t let Maisy’s sweet, worried little face fool you—this adorable girl is full of love, energy, and personality! She loves playing with toys, is a fantastic cuddle buddy, and is sure to make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Maisy can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. She’s crate trained, potty trained, and is doing a great job learning to walk on a leash. She absolutely loves playing with other small dogs and would enjoy having a small canine companion in her forever home, though she’ll also be perfectly happy as your one and only. While she hasn’t been tested with larger dogs or children, her foster believes her playful, gentle nature will help her adapt well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful little nugget who will happily snuggle up after a day of fun, Maisy is ready to steal your heart. Give this sweet girl a chance—you won’t regret it!
