Because all of our dogs live in foster homes, meet-and-greets are scheduled only after a completed application is received. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance of Wilmington, DE so our volunteers can conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Kasey! 🐾 At 13 years old and just 9 pounds, this sweet Chihuahua is looking for a quiet, loving home to call her own. Kasey was surrendered by her previous owner and is ready for her next chapter. Kasey loves being near her person and enjoys cuddles on her own terms. She has an independent streak!! She gets along with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash, and has a medium energy level. She enjoys getting outside for walks and running along the fence line, so she’d love a home where she can continue to enjoy her daily outings. Kasey is housebroken when kept on a consistent schedule and sleeps comfortably in her own dog bed. She does bark to let you know she's there (she is a chi!), and stairs aren’t her thing, but she’s easy to pick up and handle. Her experience with children is unknown, though she has a sweet, gentle personality. Kasey has a few special care needs, including a low-protein diet and a Denamarin supplement. She’s looking for someone who will provide the patience, consistency, and love she deserves in her senior years. If you have a quiet home and room in your heart for a gentle senior companion, Kasey would love the chance to meet you!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello all my name is Squiggy!! I am a squiggly wiggly kinda of boy who is so full of fun!! I am fully vetted and am working on my house training. If I can get out frequently I do well and I will go potty on a leash. I am a little shy when I first meet people and will bark, but a little patience and some treats and I am a complete love bug. I met a new friend a few weeks ago and we went for a car trip and I slept like a baby on her lap. I loved sleeping under a blanket with her holding me like a baby. She could hold me any way she wanted and I was in complete heaven. I am fully vetted including being neutered. I was a little thin when I came into rescue, but I have filled out nicely and I am ready for my very own forever family. I play well with others, and sometimes I get so excited that I play nip and talk a lot. I would do best in a home without kids only because I am a little shy.
