Story
Hi, my name is Bess, and I’m a quiet, ladylike Chihuahua mix who has quickly become one of Tracy’s favorites. I came from the streets, which is probably why I’m so grateful for every bit of kindness. I’m not a demanding dog at all—truly, all I want is someone who will be gentle and good to me. I was starving when I arrived here and now weigh 14 lbs. I should probably lose a pound or two but it's so hard. I do not like diets. I get along beautifully with everyone. You’ll often find me sitting back and observing while the other dogs act like little wild things, and I’m perfectly content just watching the show. What I really dream of is having a home of my own and a cozy lap to curl up on. I am Chagas positive, but please don’t let that scare you. I’m already doing great on treatment, it’s inexpensive to maintain, and I’m nearly halfway through it. I feel wonderful and just need someone willing to love me through the rest of my journey. You can find more information about Chagas on Tracy's website www.TracysPawsRescue.org. Bess is located in our shelter in Hondo, Texas. Bess is also available for transport to St. Petersburg, FL on February 21, 2026 with an approved application. Adoption fee is $450 which includes the transport fee. You can learn more about us or apply for me on our website. I hope you’ll give a little lady like me a chance—I’ve been waiting for someone just like you. 💛 Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip

Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance.

Story
Charm is a sweet little 3 month old puppy from the border of Mexico. She came in with her siblings but only her and her are left. She is going to be small. We do not know who the parents are but they must have been small dogs. Charm loves to explore, play with toys and snuggle in your arms. In true Chihuahua fashion, she's clever and eager to learn. She would thrive in a home where she gets plenty of playtime, attention and love. If you would like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application. Charm is available for our February 21st transport to St. Petersburg, FL. The total cost is $500 which includes the transport fee. Every dog adopted through Tracys Paws Rescue receives: Chagas, heartworm and tick testing (when age-appropriate) All core vaccines (age-appropriate) Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Regular deworming Spay/neuter surgery Microchip Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Charm is too young for heartworm/Chagas testing. This puppy is under 16 weeks as of 1/7/26. Because this puppy is from the state of Texas, an area epidemic for Chagas disease...we strongly recommend that they be tested once they reach at least 16 weeks of age. Please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease and the importance of early detection.

He was rescued with his siblings and momma Brandy from the Weslaco shelter near the Mexico border, and now he is safe and ready for a forever home. Loves to explore, play with toys, and snuggle in your arms. In true Chihuahua fashion, he's clever and eager to learn. He would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of playtime, attention, and love. Jack is available for transport to St Petersburg, FL on February 21st. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $500. The fee includes the transport cost. Jack is located in Princeton, NJ in a foster home. He is too young to be tested for Heartworm or Chagas as of 1/5/2026 If you'd like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: Every dog adopted through Tracy's Paws receives: Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) All core vaccines (age-appropriate) Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Regular Deworming Spay/neuter surgery Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Because we live in TX, please familiarize yourself with Chagas. It's more prevalent than HW disease.
