I got her from a flea market. She’s about 4-5 years old. I would love for her to go to a loving and patient family. She is a chihuahua so naturally they’re very defensive and scared. She takes about a week to get used to someone if they’re around every day. It might take a little longer for her to get used to those who aren’t around as often. She really is a sweet dog once she gets used to you. She loves cuddles especially on or under the blankets. She is a playful dog once you rile her up. She knows to go to her bed when you say “go lay down”. She does need to be potty trained slightly again. If there was anything I missed or have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Story
Matisse is a an energetic lover! We have had him since he’s been a puppy and he’s been a good friend. He will play with you and be so happy to be your companion, and will enjoy laying by your feet at night while you relax. Matisse is crate trained, potty trained, and VERY treat motivated! This sweet boy needs to walk and run at least 3 times a day. Our family’s schedule and situation is not allowing us to care properly for him, as often as needed. We also had another dog ( old) who is now gone, so Matisse is very lonely. We would love to find a home where he has a yard to run, and other doggie friends to play with! This is the hardest decision we’ve made but this beautiful pup deserves a good life, regular fresh air and company!

Story
Hen is a lovely girl that was in a confiscation situation. We have had her in the rescue for a year!!! She has come a LONG way and is doing great!!! She LOVES other dogs, plays well with them and once she knows you she is super affectionate. I think she will always have a cautious streak in her, from her past, but she is brave and manages to overcome her blocks!! It took us three months for her to come out of her crate and come willingly to us. Now once she knows you she wants to be with you all the time! She still is not wild about being picked up, but she does tolerate it. Totally housebroke, crate trained and yes we are still working on the leash. But it is only going forward. She is a funny girl. Loves to play with toys, and does zoomies in the yard. Rides well in the car in the front seat. She tolerates the vet and just goes limp in situations she is uncomfortable in. With more exposure, socialization and group classes she will only improve. She is a project dog, but will give you her whole heart and soul. Will eventually make a great companion dog, right now she prefers the comfort of her home environ, with added dashes of the new world! Will need a fenced yard, and most importantly another kind playful dog to hang with and be her best friend! Fostered in Bradenton. Will need an adopter or anotehr long term foster who has knowledge of dog behaviour, and lots of patience and love.. This girl only wants to please, and with your help can conquer all those past fears. Make her future a safe and beautiful place!!!
