Meet Chalupa! She is a 15 week old small terrier/ chi mix. Chalupa was found on an abandoned property, surviving on her own as a young pup. She was covered in fleas and ticks and had the worst case of intestinal parasites that we have ever seen. It took a few weeks, but Chalupa has finally tested negative for all intestinal parasites and is ready to go into a home! She is incredibly dog, cat, and people friendly. Tom’s life didn’t start out like a cartoon comedy — it started with uncertainty, survival, and learning how to trust. Despite everything he’s been through, Tom is a gentle, loving soul who just wants what every dog deserves: safety, comfort, and someone to call his own. Tom is the quieter half of the duo. He’s observant, thoughtful, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Once he trusts you, he leans in hard — for affection, reassurance, and love. He enjoys soft beds, calm environments, and knowing he’s finally safe. He does well with other dogs, especially his buddy Jerry(who’s already been adopted), but Tom would also thrive as a cherished solo pup soaking up one-on-one attention. He’s learning what it means to be a pet — not just a survivor — and he’s doing amazing. Tom isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for patience, kindness, and a family who understands that the best dogs are often the ones who’ve had to overcome the most. If you’re ready to give Tom the ending he’s always deserved, he’s ready to give you his whole heart.
