Story
Urgent Rehoming needed. Bernie was rescued in the nick of time in Los Angeles hours before being euthanized. After being fostered for a month in LA he came to Renton. Bernie has shown us despite weighing 14 pounds he has a larger than life lovable and strong personality. Bernie is estimated to be about 8 years old and was neutered before coming to Seattle in December. He’s house trained and does well on a leash. He loves to play fetch and frisbee and can tag along for long walks no problem. Once he gets to know you, He loves to be in your lap and will spend as much time with you as he can. He loves pets, belly rubs, and playing tug-of-war with toys. Sadly we don’t know much about the first 8 years of Bernie’s life, but it’s clear he has a wariness of new people and feels protective of his spaces. Bernie would do best with an adult only home with experienced dog owners, possibly other small dogs. Strongly Recommend behavioral training. Bernie has a bite history and needs lots of love.
