Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Bori is a mature, gentle girl who spent a long time in a shelter before being rescued. She is the kind of dog whose presence is so quiet that you might not even notice she’s there— soft, calm, and unobtrusive. She rarely barks and enjoys simply staying close to her person. From the very first moment you meet her, she’s the kind of dog who makes you think, “I just want to hold her.” Bori’s personality is pure gentleness. She is calm, well-mannered, and never disruptive to the atmosphere of a home. She stays quietly by your side, which somehow makes you care for her even more, with a tender feeling in your heart. One important note: Bori tends to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. In a new environment, she may have a few potty accidents at first due to nervousness. With a little time and patience, she will adjust and gradually settle in. Bori doesn’t ask for much. A quiet space, a patient person, and a family willing to spend calm, unhurried time together is all she needs. She isn’t overly affectionate or demanding, but just having her nearby is comforting in itself. That’s the kind of dog Bori is. She is no longer looking to be alone— she is waiting for a family who will stay quietly by her side, just as she will for them. 🐾🤍

Story
Hi… my name is Kkamang 🖤 I’m a 1 year and 6 month old Chihuahua mix boy, just 5kg (11 lbs) — small enough to fit in your arms, and hoping to fit in your heart too. I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I didn’t know what it felt like to have someone call my name. No warm arms. No soft whispers. I wasn’t a “someone” — I was just… there. Inside a metal cage, each day wasn’t about learning. It was about enduring. I learned how to be quiet. How to wait. How to survive. So when I first meet someone new, I pause for a moment. It doesn’t mean “go away.” It means, “Is it really safe this time?” But if you offer me a gentle voice… a small treat… a little patience, my tiny wall falls very quickly. Because the truth is — I like people. I always have. Once I know you, I’m much more affectionate than you’d expect. I’ll press my little body right next to you, sit close, and look into your eyes as if I’m asking for love. No one ever taught me how to be loved, but somehow, I know how to want it. I get along quietly and peacefully with other dogs too. I don’t cause trouble. I know how to share space and not feel lonely. Home life, though… that will be new for me. A house. Daily routines. Rules about where to potty. Time spent alone. I may make mistakes. I may be clumsy at first. But those moments won’t be because I’m lacking — they’ll simply be signs of a life I was never given the chance to learn. Please wait for me. Please teach me slowly. If you do, I will trust you with my whole heart. I will become a deeply loving, loyal little family member who believes completely in my person. I was born just to survive. Now, I want to live. I want a life where I don’t fear being sent back to a cage. A life where I don’t worry about being abandoned again. A life where someone calls my name every day. That’s why I’m looking for a family who will be patient as I learn home life step by step, who will use gentle voices instead of force, and who will promise that I will never return to a cage again. Will you be my very first family? Please let the rest of my life be remembered not for sadness — but for love. 🖤🐾

Story
Woody is a very sweet, very loving senior dog with a lot of life left in him. While he does not enjoy being pet, he loves to snuggle and be close to his person at all times. Despite having chronic pain, he still enjoys walks and adventures. He is mostly indifferent to other animals as long as they give him space, but will defend his territory if needed and can therefore not live with persistent or reactive animals. For 15 years, Woody was in a bonded pair with his sibling, who passed in November 2024. Since then, he has needed a full-time human companion. I have been unable to work outside the home because of this and can no longer provide for my own basic needs while also caring for him. He gets extremely stressed with left alone and struggles increasingly with incontinence. He has a heart condition and takes multiple medications daily. I love him deeply and hope to find someone who can enjoy his companionship in the time he has remaining.
