She's Made It to Wisconsin and Is Looking for Her Forever Home!Cooperina has made the long journey from Mississippi to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and is settling nicely into her foster home. This sweet little girl is ready for a fresh start and the chance to discover what life is like in a loving home.Meet CooperinaCooperina is part of an owner-surrender/hoarding situation in Mississippi, where her owner had approximately 40 Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes and could no longer care for them. She spent her life in an overcrowded home with many other dogs and has had very little opportunity to experience the world outside that environment. At just 1 year old and 8.5 pounds, Cooperina is a petite girl who will need some time to feel comfortable in her new surroundings. She is on the shy side and may find unfamiliar people, places, and experiences overwhelming at first. Her new family should be patient and understanding, allowing her to settle in at her own pace while she builds confidence.Cooperina may not immediately come out of her shell, but with patience, consistency, and gentle reassurance, she can begin to feel safe and show her sweet personality. She deserves a family that understands trust takes time and will celebrate the little steps she makes along the way.Cooperina will also need help adjusting to the basics of being a house dog. Her potty training, crate training, and leash manners are unknown, so her foster or adopter should be prepared to patiently teach her these skills using positive reinforcement. Since she has lived with many other dogs, having a friendly, confident canine companion may help her feel more comfortable as she adjusts to her new life.Cooperina is looking for a loving forever home with someone willing to give her the time, patience, and encouragement she needs to blossom. She may be nervous at first, but she deserves the opportunity to learn what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family.Age: 1 yearGender: FemaleWeight: 8.5 lbsBreed: Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixSpayed/Neutered: YesPotty Trained: YesCrate Trained: UnsureLeash Manners: Good on the harnessGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnsureGood with Kids: UnsureCooperina has made it to Wisconsin and is ready to find her forever family.
