Red is a senior Pomeranian with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Though he has one eye and limited vision, he doesn’t let that slow him down—he’s still full of spunk and curiosity! Red’s happy place is outside, where he loves rolling around in the grass and soaking up the fresh air. When it’s time to eat, wet food is the way to his heart. Important Care Info: Has heart disease and needs medication twice a day for life Vision impaired (one not so great eye) Big fan of wet food Red is a joyful little companion who thrives with gentle handling, a steady routine, and lots of love.

Story
Linda was given up to the shelter because the owners let her get in bad shape with mammory gland tumors that should have been removed years ago and she should have been spayed to help that also, but they didn't want to deal with any of those issues, so they just turned her over to the shelter who couldn't put her on the adoption floor and would have had to have euthanized her instead, so we took her in. If she likes you, she likes you but it sometimes takes a little bit because she hasn't had the greatest life. She likes me so we don't have any issues but she would do best probably as an only child with someone who's home all the time and would understand that there could be issues down the road. We make no promises when it comes to her health and are simply asking that her vaccines be paid for that we had done. She is heartworm negative and on preventives.She's been spayed, microchipped, has had her bortatella, rabies, distemper parvo booster, the whole nine yards. ***She's now has surgery to remove all of the tumors and she's doing great, not even realizing she's had surgery***Please apply for this little girl online atMadisonARF.org
