 Echo is a Pomeranian mix who is 4-5 year of age. He has reached his mature weight of 15 pounds and wears a long fluffy coat of black with just a pinch of white on his snout. He was found on the side of the road and no one claimed him. Echo is great with people and other dogs, although we're not sure if he likes cats. He loves to sit in your lap , go for walks, play with his dog friends and, of course, get treats. Echo would love to come home with you and complete your family! (ME, 11/18/23) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . UPDATE!! This girl is Gia! She’s the last of our breeder Poms looking for her forever home! How is a gorgeous Blue merle Pom. She has a home but sadly illness struck in the household before pick up and they had to back out. Gia is around 3-5 years old and 12 lbs. She’s a wonderful girl. She’s great in the house and gets along with other cats and dogs. She loves her people and is a lap pup but still does have some spunk. Gia is utd, hw tested, spayed and ready to go home with you today! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact any of the vet clinics we work with, as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding. Baloo and Ursula are up for adoption as a pair. Baloo is a 5 year old male, born in October 2018. He is not neutered. Baloo is 8 pounds. Ursula, aka ‘sister’, is 3 years old, born in April 2020. She is 5 pounds and is spayed. They are house trained and puppy pad trained. They are very high maintenance animals. They require a lot of care, time, attention, and are costly. They need to go to the groomer once a month. The dogs do not like small children, which is ultimately why they need to be rehomed. They are bonded and come as a pair. This is a very hard decision and we will not let them go to anyone that cannot afford to care for them. Please let me know if you have any questions
