Are you looking for a perfect "Pomski"? Look no further! Dakota is here and available for adoption, and he would really like to find his forever home soon. Dakota is a senior Pomeranian x Husky mix, born 3/27/15. You would never know he is 11.5 years old by looking at him. He is active, healthy, and loves to play and go on walks. He enjoys human attention and soaked up all of the love at our recent adoption event. Dakota has been cat and dog tested, and overall does really well -- but can be the fun police and a bit of a grump with other dogs at times. We think he could live with dogs in the right home, but would also be happy as an only dog. Dakota is housetrained, rides great in the car, and is just an all around good boy. He is ~40 lbs and is a heavy shedder. Dakota's adoption fee is FREE and he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Hazel is a 6 year old female Pomski who weighs in at 25 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below. Hazel is a beauty. She is an even tempered friendly girl. She is not too energetic, but no couch potato either. She likes looking out the window. She barks every now and then, but it never lasts long. Hazel knows her name, will come when called and will "sit" on command.  She walks nicely on a leash.  Hazel gets along with everyone. She plays nicely with the resident dog in her foster home. She has a beautiful tan coat that will require brushing. She settles into her bed at night by herself. Hazel is a pleasure to have as a companion to both human and dog. Hazel is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and spayed. She is mostly housetrained with the occasional accident. Breezy is a teensy little Pomeranian/Husky lady. Breezy does require daily medication to control seizures. She is 3.5 years old and weighs about 10 pounds of pure cuteness! Breezy is still getting the hang of things in her foster home and we are happy to show her the ropes while she is looking for a forever family. She’s nervous with new people and things, but she has started cuddling with her foster mom! She isn’t a huge fan of the crate, but she’s been sleeping soundly in it. She’s getting used to walking on the leash and working on potty training. Breezy is a quiet and sweet pup who just needs a patient home where she can decompress and learn to trust her new family!
