PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Toby! Toby is approximately 10 months old, 10 lbs and he might have some fox in his mix, LOL! In his foster home, he is working hard on house training, crate training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 5+, and other playful dogs. No cats, please! His foster says, `Toby is adorableness wrapped in a 10lb body that makes him look like a tiny fox. If you remember Chester from Looney Tunes, that is who Toby resembles. He jumps around and barks to get others to play. He plays chase all around my house with a 45lb Vizsla. It is the cutest thing. True to puppy style, he crashes hard after playing hard. He will make someone a great playmate and companion.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on September 11th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
I know… his name is Happy, but where is Happy’s Ever After? Just a few months ago, this sweet little guy was found with an incredibly painful leg injury. As if that wasn’t enough, he also tested positive for heartworm. But look at him now… Leg repaired Heartworm treatment complete Healthy, happy, and so ready to find the family he’s been waiting for. Happy is the cutest little floofy guy with long, silky hair and the sweetest soul. He’s the kind of dog who may take a little time to settle in, but once he trusts you, he’ll happily curl up beside you and become your little buddy. His biggest wish? A dog already in the home to be his bestie. Having a canine BFF has helped him build confidence and he loves following another dog’s lead. As far as personality, he is more of a laid-back guy than a rough-and-tumble player —- perfectly content hanging out with his buddies or relaxing in his favorite bed or crate, where he feels safe and secure. He’s working hard on his leash skills and would do best in a quieter neighborhood rather than busy city life while he continues to gain confidence. Named after Happy, The New Year’s baby, we think it’s finally time for this special little guy to get the “happy ending” he deserves. Could you be the one to give Happy his happily ever after? 5 yo/@ 14 lbs Spaniel/Pom mix? sweet, but shy — best as second dog in more chill home  altered, vaccinated & microchipped  ready for adoption 7/16– Apply today on our website @ galsbestpal.com   *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
Meet Clancy is you want a walking buddy look no further. Clancy does not need doggie day care or a fenced yard he just needs you to walk him as many times a day as you want. He would walk to New England to find his forever family if we let him. He see's his leash and he is ready to GO. He was brought to the shelter because his gorgeous coat requires upkeep. His previous owners couldn't keep up with his grooming needs. To stay handsome and tangle-free, he will need regular visits to the groomer. He is currently crate trained and loves a big crate with lots of space to hang out. He is fostered with other dogs of different ages and sized and he has had no issues. He does not seem to need a dog around as long as he has his person. He has not lived with children that we know of so we would suggest children over 7. He is also not cat tested. Clancy is very loving and after the long walks he will curl up with you and be your best friend. So please put your walking shoes on and let Clancy lead the way to all kinds of fun adventures.Name: ClancyBreed: Poodle/Pom  (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).Sex: MaleAge: 2 years 1 month (estimated as of 7/11/26)Weight: 12 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 7Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)                       $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently:    Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
