Story
Meet Lucky! Lucky is a 4 yr old, purebred, male Pomeranian. Lucky will be an amazing adventure buddy in an active all-adult home. He loves rolling in the grass, exploring the outdoors, taking walks, and running around outside. He loves car rides as well. Lucky is always ready to jump in your car and join you when you are heading off for a hike or walk. He is house-trained and excellent left alone in the home. Lucky is high-energy and would do well with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and enrichment. He would benefit from time with a professional positive trainer. He is a little aloof at first but will seek out affection more and more as your bond develops. He needs an adopter who can give him time to decompress as recommended in the 3/3/3 rule and to respect his boundaries. Lucky doesn't like loud noises and excitement and has gotten temperamental, therefore he is not good with children. We do not recommend a home with cats. Lucky LOVES food, well our food anyway! He loves it so much that he will steal your food right from you! He needs to learn how to "leave it" and "wait". but, of course, Lucky is super picky about his food. He is a human food conisour and turns his nose up at dog kibble! Currently, he likes Fresh Pet dog food. Are you a kind, patient, human with no kids? Do you like walks in the park or on the beach? Do you want a best friend who will love you unconditionally as long as you respect their boundaries and don't force affection on them... and maybe sneak them some scraps here in there as long as they have learned how to wait patiently for them? Sound good? Then apply for Lucky! ______ If you are interested in finding out more about Lucky, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Lucky is being fostered in Worcester. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Raymond is a gorgeous little Pomeranian born on 3/6/23. He is a tiny little guy, 5 pounds. that’s going to stay tiny. Raymond is social and loves to play, gets along with all the other little dogs and is very sweet. His adoption donation is $800.00 and the transport fee $165.00. Raymond is neutered, up to date on all medical, heartworm negative and is on ProHeart 6 preventative. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest in an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Adoption Donation   $ 499              Located: RI    (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx   6   years old     Weight: 14  lbs That face! That sweet lil face! Lady Beth is as entertaining as she cute! She really does a fantastic pony impression Beth is 6 years old, 14 pounds, housebroken, crate trained, good dogs & cats and a gentle girl. Beth came from elderly owners in the south that couldn't care for her properly. She had never been to a vet, and never been fed kibble. She had to get by on ground beef. So she is very food motivated, and easy to befriend. She's a bit skittish, and leary of men. This affectionate gal requires a quiet home with a patient adopter/s. An adult only home would best suit her needs. Do you want to be her Valentines?  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  Foster.Adopt.Repeat.2021@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.     Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
