Story
(We have a transport trip to PA set to start on 6/8/24. Travel costs will be seperate from her adoption fee, and will be the responsibility of each adopter in route to cover in order for us to make this trip a reality!) Meet Reina! She is a purebred female Pomeranian. She is mainly all black with a few white markings (on her chest, chin, and tips of her paws.) She is small, and I will have her weight updated once I have it! She is set to be spayed in the next 2 weeks, and will officially be available for adoption soon after. She will also be current on all vaccines, microchipped, and thoroughly examined by our vet whome will clear her prior to adoption. She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom every few hours if needed/asked to. She is crate trained, and will only use the crate here on occasion if we step out of the home for any reason. Otherwise she has free roam of our entire home as she is very well mannered. She is leash trained, and loves her walks whenever she can get them! She does love to sleep in bed with her humans, but will settle for a dog bed aside yours if that's preferred. She is amazing with all dogs, and cats alike. She loves men, women, and children alike. She is NOT a barker but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. She is serene tempered, and quiet. She loves to be near her person and if you are working on the computer near by, or cooking she will simply find a bed and nap til you have time to spend with her again. She is very easy going, easy to please, and easier to love! She is very sweet and would make someone very happy to call her theirs. She loves her spa days at the groomer. Enjoys road trips. And overall just enjoys life however she can. She has been wonderful to have here and one we will be very sad to see go, but she is so deserving of a good home and we can't wait to find that for her. Her adoption fee along with its breakdown will be on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org at the bottom of her post after she is spayed.

Story
(We have a transport trip scheduled to leave on 6/8/24 to PA! Travel costs will be covered by each individual adopter on top of his adoption fee to make this trip a reality!) Meet Cash! He is a purebred chocolate Merle Pomeranian. He is a tiny little guy! I will have his weight updated once I have it ❤️ He is 2 years of age. He is set to be neutered in a few weeks and will officially be available for adoption soon after. He will also have current vaccines, be microchipped, and thourely examined and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. He is house trained, and pad trained. Due to his size, we do take him out supervised only every few hours so he is completely dependent on us for that due to the wildlife we have here. He is leash trained, and loves to go for his walks, or if yould like to carry him, he will be okay with that too! He is crate trained, and will sleep in the crate at night only here. He is wonderful with all dogs. Big or small, but again due to his small size we do keep him seperate from the larger breed dogs here. He grew up with cats in his last home, so that wouldn't be an issue moving forward if you had any cats. He is wonderful with men, women, and children alike. He gets very excited and will dance on his back legs begging anyone and everyone to pick him up, play with him, or simply just aklowledge his presence. He is fun, full of life, outgoing, charismatic, charming, and as sweet as one can possibly be! He is NOT a barker but will alert you of unfamiliar sounds. He loves toys! And will engage in play with his human at the very drop of a ball. He is wildly independent but also LOVES shadowing his person at times too. He is confident in the best possible way, and is always looking for new ways to have fun, and add joy to his and his humans world! Very treat motivated, and naturally social! He is wonderful at the groomers, and loves road trips. He will be the best choice you ever made, as he will become the best friend you ever had ❤️ Adoption fee along with its breakdown will be on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org at the bottom of his post after he is neutered and cleared by our vet.

Story
Little Nikita is a 10-year-old, house broken Toy Pomeranian mix who weighs a mere 3 pounds. YES, we really mean 3 teeny tiny pounds! She is a fragile girl who enjoys being around people and especially loves sitting in your lap getting pets or being carried around. Due to her dainty size, we ask that any children in the home be older than 10 years old or have experience handling small dogs. Nikita has a great temperament and is good with other dogs and cats. Nikita wears a long coat of black and silver which will need to be groomed often. She is the sweetest girl and is longing for a new furever home after her owner passed away. Bring Nikita home and let her love you until the end of time! (KT, 4/25/24)     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 3, 2024, 4:34 pm

Story
Meet Jarvis. Jarvis was adopted in 2015 to a family that said they could & would give him a forever home. Things changed, and they could no longer take care of Jarvis so poor Jarvis ended back into rescue. Even though he seems to be having a blast, we need to find him a home that will provide him a loving forever home. Jarvis is about 16 pounds which is small to most people but he’s in a foster home with mostly chihuahuas not weighing more than 10 pounds. His foster mom describes him as a big dog in a small dogs body. Jarvis is a good boy that has lots of energy so it’s important to know he will need walks, running and playing with another dog or fetch with his human. Jarvis has met many dogs in foster care and has done super well. Jarvis does not do well meeting new people and is very protective of his home so we are looking for an adopter that can handle this and work with Jarvis so he learns he doesn’t need to be the protector, his human will protect him instead. Jarvis is updated on vaccines, was neutered & chipped too. If you think you got what it takes please email AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com and request an application. His cuteness is a bonus!

Story
Applicants need to be within 1 hour drive from Claymont, DE 19703. Noah was surrendered to AOL Animal Rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. Noah is 7 years old and they had him since he was a puppy. Noah was so shy, scared and quiet his first week or so in his foster home. Noah is no longer any of those, especially quiet. This guy has a lot to say, and if you tell him you don’t want to hear it, he totally ignores you. Noah was previously an only dog so it took him time to adjust to the others. Noah could live with another dog, depending on the other dog’s personality. He has’t yet played with anyone yet. He did get the zoomies when it was just him and foster mom in the back yard so he is happy when it’s all about him. Noah is now crate trained, although he doesn’t appreciate being crated unless he has had the opportunity to use up some of his energy, which he has a lot of! Noah could live with a cat that will stand up for itself and not run away. Noah will chase them if they run. We will be taking Noah out more not that him and foster mom know each other and he is recovered from his neuter. His last ride in the car he reverted back to being very nervous, so he may not ever be too comfy in car rides, but he may get better. As scared as he was in the beginning, he never showed any aggression. Stay tuned for more info but if you like so far what you read and would like to meet Noah, email or call us and we will send out an application. His videos will be on our YouTube page later today too. AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com (302)272-5655

Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around and knew how to get our attention when she needs to go outside. She has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and will bark if she hears a dog on the screen. She is also a good car rider. She is a well-mannered little girl who knows her manners, like to sit when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. Since going blind, she can be reactive when another dog invades her space, or even if Bree invades their space. We've had a few spats but everyone has come out unharmed. It is best to feed Bree in her own space. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
