Story
Mr. Charlie’s a 13yo 16lbs Pom mix. He’s dog friendly and house trained. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. He loves to go on walks with to explore the neighborhood and smell the smells. He’s very sweet and laid back, loves to be near his person and get belly rubs and massages. He may be on the older side but still gets around and runs in the yard. Mr. Charlie needs people who will give him the love and attention he deserves and thrives, tons of belly rubs and massages along with keeping him on his special diet for his sensitive pancreas. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Mr. Charlie came to Tiny Paws with a heart murmur which he is on medication for and will need to remain on along with a sensitive pancreas which he eats special food for (not Rx). He’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Hammonton, NJ. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Champ is an 11-year-old PomChi who loves to play, nap, cuddle, and fiercely protect his loved ones (like barking at the mailman). Due to previous rehoming within my family, he has separation anxiety and recently developed chronic bronchitis, that's managed with medication. For the past 7 years, he's been my best friend, making the decision to rehome him very difficult. However, my priority is his wellbeing, and my career changes have left Champ home alone more often that I'm comfortable with, especially now that he's sick. I'm seeking a loving home with a flexible schedule, resources to care for him, and the heart to spoil him rotten. He's lived a full life with me, so he has everything you'll need. He can be aggressive with large dogs, so a meet and greet is essential, especially if you have a male dog. He's generally fine with children, but I wouldn’t recommend him for small, curious or excitable children.

Story
Socialization/training: Ollie is well socialized with people of all ages and other dogs. He loves kids and is very gentle with babies. He is very smart and athletic. He knows sit, stay, leave it, and loves to play fetch. He is very intelligent, and food motivated so easy to train. He has not had accidents in the house and also has not chewed anything inappropriately. Crate trained: Ollie eats and sleeps quietly all night in the crate. Leash trained: Ollie walks great on the leash and does not react or try to chase other animals. He knows heel and if he does walk in front to do some sniffing, he will keep turning his head to make sure his person is following. Activity Level: Ollie is energetic and will play fetch for hours. Once he’s told ‘take a break’ he will settle down to take a nap. He enjoys his walks. He would excel in agility training; he is very fast and athletic.  Fence: Ollie would be fine with a four-foot fence or invisible fence. He has good recall. A home without a fence will also be considered if there is a good exercise plan in place for him, as he needs to play fetch and burn off energy daily! Behavior: Ollie is very playful and follows his person closely. He has good manners with people and other dogs. It took him about a week to feel comfortable enough to play with the other dogs in the foster home since the other dogs are all bigger. He wants to be touching his person or a dog friend when he’s napping. He rides great in the vehicle and likes going to the park, events, and Tractor Supply. Medical History: Ollie is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm prevention. He has no known medical issues.    Foster Comments: Ollie was found as a stray dog in Texas. He went right up to greet the animal control officer when they arrived. He is a super smart Pomeranian/herding dog mix who luckily looked enough like a mini–English Setter to be saved from the shelter. His hair is as soft as silk and he’s very gentle and sweet. He needs someone that has the time and energy to play ball with him daily. He enjoys going on adventures and meeting new people and dogs. He’s very outgoing and has not shown any fear, thunderstorms don’t even bother him. Ollie is a wonderful happy-go-lucky dog who is looking for his forever home. Foster Location: Bandera, TX Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $50.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (“Health Certificate”).  Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions. ##2149907##

Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around and knew how to get our attention when she needs to go outside. She has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and will bark if she hears a dog on the screen. She is also a good car rider. She is a well-mannered little girl who knows her manners, like to sit when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. Since going blind, she can be reactive when another dog invades her space, or even if Bree invades their space. We've had a few spats but everyone has come out unharmed. It is best to feed Bree in her own space. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Applicants need to be within 1 hour drive from Claymont, DE 19703. Noah was surrendered to AOL Animal Rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. Noah is 7 years old and they had him since he was a puppy. Noah was so shy, scared and quiet his first week or so in his foster home. Noah is no longer any of those, especially quiet. This guy has a lot to say, and if you tell him you don’t want to hear it, he insists you hear him. Noah was previously an only dog so it took him time to adjust to the others. Noah could happily live with another dog, depending on the other dog’s personality and who else lives in the home. Noah is high maintenance when it comes to attention so we want to make sure he is able to get his needs met. He just started getting some Zoomies with other dogs, this took 4 months! He did get the zoomies early on when it was just him and foster mom in the back yard so he is happy when it’s all about him. Noah is now crate trained, although he doesn’t appreciate being crated unless he has had the opportunity to use up some of his energy, which he has a lot of! Noah could live with a cat that will stand up for itself and not run away. Nosh would challenge a cat but he certainly would chase them if they run. Noah is very vocal riding in the car, barking at everyone and everything. Foster mom is going to take him out in the car but in a covered kennel/ crate to see if he less anxious. His last ride in the car he reverted back to being very nervous, so he may not ever be too comfy in car rides, but he may get better. As scared as he was in the beginning, he never showed any aggression. Noah enjoys pushing on squeak toys with his nose to make them squeak, and he also enjoys having something to chew while in his crate. He LOVES going on walks, and he eats his dog food with no issues. He’s a good boy. If you’re interested in meeting Noah, just email or call us and we will send out an application. His videos will be on our YouTube page later today too. Story
TATER TOT Male Pomeranian 6-8 years old Good with smaller dogs (he is dog selective) Not recommended with cats Not recommended with kids Appropriate for city living: No Meet Tater Tot Tater Tot is a middle-aged Pomeranian who walks a little wonky but has lots of love to give. Tater Tot was allegedly hit by a car and unable to walk. After a few days at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, with good care, pain meds and lots of love, he started to recover. Bit by bit, day by day, he got better. He had no injuries consistent with being hit by a car and an MRI did not indicate any breaks but did confirm some changes in a few of his discs. None of this slows him down a bit! He loves to run even if it looks a bit wobbly! Tater takes a while to warm up to new people but once he loves you, he loves you with his whole heart. Tater Tot is going to need an extra special, patient family. He will be added to the website soon, but you can still submit an application at www.findingshelter.org. About CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Loyal, Playful, Protective, Brave, Curious, Independent, Funny COAT LENGTH Long HOUSE-TRAINED No HEALTH Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs.
