Story
Dexter is an older guy, somewhere around 8–10 years old, about 13 pounds, and honestly just an easy dog to love. He was found as a stray and never reclaimed, which is hard to understand once you meet him because he’s friendly, sweet, and seems happy to be wherever his people are. Dexter is the kind of dog who fits right into your life without needing much from you. He walks nicely on a leash, rides great in the car, and loves tagging along for errands or trips. At home, he’s quiet and content, perfectly happy lounging nearby and keeping you company. He’s affectionate without being demanding and has that calm, steady presence that makes everything feel a little more relaxed. He came into rescue heartworm positive, went through fast kill treatment like a champ, and is now fully cleared. He’s also had an extensive dental and is feeling really good. Overall, he’s in great shape and ready to enjoy a comfortable, loved life. Dexter is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need training marathons or constant entertainment, just a couch, a few walks, and someone to sit near, Dexter might be your guy. Story
Milo is a 2-year-old, 10-pound black and white Pomeranian with a big personality and a lot of energy to match. He’s a handsome, active little guy who thrives on attention and loves being close to his person. Milo was surrendered to rescue because his previous owner worked full time and couldn’t keep up with his energy level. He does best when he has plenty of interaction, activity, and structure throughout the day. He is very people-focused and enjoys cuddling on the couch once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy. He gets along with other dogs, though he’s still figuring out how to play appropriately. When he gets excited or anxious, he can bark and pace in circles, which can be confusing for other dogs. He has recently started on Prozac to help manage his anxiety, and we are already working on helping him feel more relaxed and settled. Milo is very food motivated, loves treats, and will benefit from continued guidance, routine, and positive outlets for both his physical and mental energy. With the right home, he has a wonderful, loving personality that really shines. Milo is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and he is heartworm negative and current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Story
Suri is a 4-year-old, 8.5-pound purebred Pomeranian with a beautiful coat and an incredibly loving personality. She may be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to settle in and become a very devoted little shadow who wants to be right next to her person at all times. Once she’s comfortable, Suri is happy, playful, and full of life. She enjoys running around the yard, playing with other dogs, and being part of whatever is going on around her. She is smart, picks up on routines quickly, and is eager to please. Suri is extremely people-focused and does not do well being left alone for long periods. She will need a home where someone is around most of the time, as she can become anxious if left for more than an hour or two. In return, she is incredibly affectionate and will happily stay by your side, sleep in your bed, and be your constant little companion. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and would do well either as an only dog or with one other small dog. She would be happiest in a calm, stable home where she can feel secure and included. Her coat is thick, soft, and requires regular brushing and grooming to keep it in good condition. It should not be shaved or clipped short. She enjoys being outside and would do best in a home with a fully fenced yard. Story
Wesley is a 2-year-old, 15-pound orange Pomeranian with a soft heart and an easygoing personality. He came to us from the Weslaco shelter after his previous owners surrendered him for digging out of their yard. He hasn’t done any digging in foster care and seems much more interested in being close to his people than in landscaping. When Wesley arrived, he was covered in fleas and ticks, but he has been fully treated and is now feeling so much better. He also completed fast kill heartworm treatment and did beautifully through it. Wesley is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being near his person. If you’re on the couch, he would very much like to be there too. He sleeps in a dog bed at night but would likely be thrilled to upgrade to a spot in your bed. He doesn’t bark much, but he will whimper and whine when he wants something, which honestly just makes him sound like a big baby. He gets along well with other dogs and has started to play with them. He will chase a cat if it runs, but otherwise ignores them. He’s easy to handle, does well with grooming, walks nicely on a harness and leash, and rides quietly in a crate in the car. He potties outside as long as he’s taken out regularly and has been good with his foster’s grandchildren, the youngest being 11. Wesley is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
