Story
Hershel is a 3-year-old, 7-pound sable Pomeranian with a gentle personality and a quiet, easygoing nature. He’s a little overweight at the moment and is working toward a healthier weight of about 5 pounds. When he first came into rescue, his coat had some thinning, but with proper nutrition and care, his beautiful sable coat is already growing back in nicely. His thyroid was tested and is completely normal. Hershel can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly once he realizes he's safe. He has a calm, reserved personality and is the kind of dog who prefers a peaceful environment over constant excitement. Once he settles in, he's a sweet little companion who enjoys being close to his people without demanding attention. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would fit in well with a canine companion, though he'd also be happy soaking up the attention as an only dog. He has not been formally tested with cats, but based on his gentle temperament, we believe he would do well. He also doesn't mind respectful, polite children. Hershel rides well in the car and is currently learning to walk on a harness and leash. He continues to gain confidence every day and would do well with a family willing to encourage him as he adjusts to his new home. Hershel is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Hershel is located in Houston, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Angel is a 2-year-old, 7-pound white and cream Pomeranian with a soft, gentle personality and an easygoing nature. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but she settles in quickly and forms trusting bonds with those around her. Angel is a quiet, low-drama girl who enjoys the comforts of home and appreciates a predictable routine. She is kennel trained, pee pad trained, and is currently learning to potty outside as well. She doesn't particularly love wearing a harness or leash, but she tolerates them and continues to make progress with gentle encouragement. She rides beautifully in the car and has an overall calm demeanor that makes her very easy to live with. Angel is the type of companion who doesn't ask for much—just a loving home, a cozy place to nap, and someone to cherish her. Angel has a Grade 2/6 heart murmur that is not currently causing her any problems. It does not require medication or treatment at this time and simply should be monitored during routine veterinary visits. She has no patellar issues and is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, fecal testing, and she is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Angel is located in College Station, TX, and her adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Ava is a 4-year-old, 14-pound black and tan Pomeranian with a gorgeous full coat, a calm personality, and enough fluff to make her look even bigger than she already is. While many Pomeranians are tiny, Ava is a sturdier girl who brings a little extra Pom to love. She has a sweet, easygoing nature and is the kind of dog who settles into a home without any fuss. Ava enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with everyone she meets. She’s never pushy or demanding, just happy to be nearby and included in whatever is going on. Ava loves being close to her people. If you're working, she'll quietly settle under your desk and keep you company throughout the day. In the evenings, she patiently waits for help getting onto the couch so she can curl up beside you and relax. She confidently uses a doggie door, enjoys lounging in her favorite cozy spots, and has excellent house manners. Ava also does well with grooming and brushing, happily standing still and enjoying the extra attention. Ava has luxating patellas in both knees, Grade 4 on the left and Grade 3 on the right. Despite this, she gets around well and enjoys her normal daily activities. Her knees will simply need ongoing monitoring with a veterinarian. Ava is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Ava is located in Bryan, TX, and her adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Jackie is a 5-year-old, 6.5-pound white and cream Pomeranian with a gentle personality and a quiet, cozy way about her. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she loves being close to her people and soaking up affection. She enjoys calm companionship and has a sweet, soft expression that makes it impossible not to fall in love with her. Jackie does well with kids, other dogs, and family life in general, making her an easy little companion in the home. Jackie is puppy-pad trained and settles nicely into a routine. She enjoys simple things like cozy naps, stuffed animals, socks, and carrying toys around the house. One of her favorite activities is tossing a toy into the air and entertaining herself while happily bouncing around after it. She’s affectionate without being demanding and enjoys spending her days relaxing near her people in a comfortable, familiar environment. Jackie is also very attached to other dogs and would likely do best in a home with a gentle canine companion. Jackie does have luxating patellas in both knees, but they do not slow her down or keep her from enjoying life. She gets around well and happily goes about her day, and her knees simply need to be monitored as part of her routine veterinary care. Jackie is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Jackie is located in College Station, TX, and her adoption fee is $550. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Tucker is an estimated 4-year-old, 8-pound Pomeranian with a sweet, affectionate personality and a pretty incredible rescue story. Tucker was originally found after being dumped in a parking lot in Sugar Land. A man picked him up and took him to a vet to have him scanned for a microchip, but unfortunately, there wasn't one. After calling shelters and being unable to find anywhere that could take him, he planned to release Tucker back outside. Thankfully, a woman at the vet clinic overheard what was happening and stepped in. She took Tucker home rather than let him end up loose again and reached out to rescue for help. When Tucker arrived, he was badly matted, particularly around his back end, where dried feces had become tangled in his coat. He also had fleas and some hair loss from all the itching. After flea treatment, grooming, and plenty of TLC, he's looking and feeling so much better. Some of his coat is still growing back, but he's well on his way to becoming the fluffy little guy he was meant to be. And despite everything, Tucker is an incredibly happy, loving dog. He absolutely loves his people and would happily spend his days curled up beside someone getting pets. If you make the mistake of stopping before Tucker has decided the petting session is over, he'll gently paw at you to remind you that your job is not yet complete. Tucker gets along wonderfully with other dogs and will even play with them. He mostly ignores cats and did great with the older children, ages 12 and 13, who visited his foster home. He doesn't bark much, although he will occasionally have a very important conversation with the neighbor dogs when they start barking. He's also got a playful side and loves doing zoomies around the backyard. Tucker knows how to sit for treats, walks on a leash, rides well in the car, and does well going outside to potty when kept on a regular schedule. He sleeps peacefully through the night and currently chooses the couch as his preferred sleeping accommodations. Tucker can be crated, but he's such a well-behaved little guy that his foster hasn't found much need for it. He also does wonderfully for baths, brushing, and grooming. Tucker is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and fecal testing. He is heartworm negative and current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. After nearly being put back out on the street, Tucker is more than ready for the part of his story where he gets a family, a comfy lap, and never has to wonder where he belongs again. Tucker is located in Austin, TX, and his adoption fee is $550. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Beau is a 2-year-old, 9-pound Pomeranian with a loving personality and absolutely no concept of personal space. If you're looking for a little shadow who wants to be involved in everything you do, Beau is your guy. He is incredibly affectionate and follows his person from room to room, always ready for snuggles and attention. Beau is famous for his adorable “Pommy prayer hands,” standing up and waving his little paws when he wants love, treats, or simply feels he hasn't been adequately admired in the last thirty seconds. Beau does well with smaller dogs and enjoys their company. He isn't a big fan of larger dogs and will let them know with some barking and grumbling, but he has never shown aggression and prefers to voice his opinions from a safe distance. He rides well in the car, walks nicely on a harness and leash, and knows how to use a doggy door. Beau loves food, loves cuddling, and honestly just loves life. He is happiest when curled up next to his favorite person, soaking up all the affection he can get. Beau is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Beau is looking for a family that appreciates a devoted companion and doesn't mind having a fluffy little fan club following them around the house. Beau is located in College Station, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
