Story
Milo is a 2-year-old, 10-pound black and white Pomeranian with a big personality and a lot of energy to match. He’s a handsome, active little guy who thrives on attention and loves being close to his person. Milo was surrendered to rescue because his previous owner worked full time and couldn’t keep up with his energy level. He does best when he has plenty of interaction, activity, and structure throughout the day. He is very people-focused and enjoys cuddling on the couch once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy. He gets along with other dogs, though he’s still figuring out how to play appropriately. When he gets excited or anxious, he can bark and pace in circles, which can be confusing for other dogs. He has recently started on Prozac to help manage his anxiety, and we are already working on helping him feel more relaxed and settled. Milo is very food motivated, loves treats, and will benefit from continued guidance, routine, and positive outlets for both his physical and mental energy. With the right home, he has a wonderful, loving personality that really shines. Milo is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and he is heartworm negative and current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Milo is located in Santa Fe, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Salem is a 1-year-old, 6-pound black Pomeranian with the prettiest little face and a tiny white patch on her chest that makes her extra special. She’s a dainty, soft-natured girl who takes a minute to figure things out, but once she does, she settles in and becomes a very sweet little companion. She can be a bit shy at first, but give her a few days and she warms up beautifully. Once she’s comfortable, she enjoys being near her people and quietly following along with whatever you’re doing. She has a gentle, easy presence and fits in nicely without being overwhelming. Salem gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s currently learning how to walk on a harness and leash and is making progress with patience and consistency. She uses potty pads right now and will need continued guidance with potty training as she adjusts to a new home. Salem has a Grade 3 luxating patella on her left knee, while her right knee is normal. At this time, it is not causing her significant issues, but it will be important for her adopter to monitor and work with their veterinarian on any future needs. She’s a calm, observant little dog who just needs a bit of time and a steady routine to fully come into her own. With the right home, she will continue to build confidence and become a very loyal companion. Salem is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and she is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Salem is located in Austin, TX, and her adoption fee is $850. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Chance is a 4-year-old, 7-pound black and tan Pomeranian with an incredible coat and an even better personality. He is full of fluff, low on drama, and very easy to love. Chance is friendly, sweet, and loves to snuggle with his people. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and does just fine with cats. He’s not overly high energy and prefers a more relaxed lifestyle, with some playtime mixed in and plenty of cozy lounging. He’s very food motivated, even though he has no teeth, and mealtime is still one of his favorite parts of the day. He sleeps well in a crate overnight and enjoys having a soft dog bed to curl up in. He does have a tendency to mark indoors, so he currently wears a belly band, which works well for him. Chance is generally quiet and easygoing. The only thing he really has to say is about the vacuum, which he prefers to bark at from a safe distance rather than confront directly. He does have luxating patellas, but they are not currently causing him any discomfort or limiting his activity and just need to be monitored over time. Chance is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, extensive dental, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and he is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Chance is located in Pflugerville, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Jackie is a 5-year-old, 6.5-pound white and cream Pomeranian with a soft, delicate nature and a heart that’s still learning how to feel safe. She is very shy right now and will need a patient, understanding home that’s willing to give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. She has already started making small but meaningful progress in foster care. Jackie now comes inside on her own and is beginning to build trust, but she is still nervous with handling. She may try to snip if picked up too quickly, so she does best when approached gently and given time to feel comfortable. Right now, she will allow gentle pets on her head once she settles, and each day she is learning a little more. Jackie is very attached to other dogs and relies heavily on them for comfort. She would do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog to help guide her, as she forms strong bonds and can become anxious when her dog companion leaves the room. She uses puppy pads and is still adjusting to a routine indoors. She currently prefers wet food and enjoys treats like peanut butter-filled bones. As she continues to feel more secure, her confidence will grow, but she will need an adopter who understands that trust will take time and consistency. Jackie has luxating patellas in both knees, Grade 4 on the left and Grade 3 on the right. She is currently getting around, but this will need to be monitored and managed with a veterinarian. Jackie is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Jackie is located in College Station, TX, and her adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Elon is an estimated 7-year-old, 7.5-pound Pomeranian with a gentle personality and an easygoing nature. He was found running loose in Katy and has been in a loving home ever since, settling into domestic life with no trouble at all. Elon is a sweet, affectionate little guy who loves to cuddle on the couch and be close to his person. He gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t pay much attention to cats. His temperament is calm and adaptable, making him an easy fit for most homes. He may bark briefly when first crated in the car, but settles quickly and rides well. When he first arrived, he did some marking, but that has improved and he is now doing well going outside to potty using a pet door. A belly band was used initially overnight, but he has adjusted nicely to a routine. Elon enjoys walking on leash and exploring new places, and he is happy to share his food. He doesn’t bark much and is overall a very low-maintenance, easy dog to care for. He is currently a little underweight and would benefit from gaining a bit, but otherwise is doing great and ready for his next home. Elon is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Elon is located in Houston, TX, and his adoption fee is $450. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
