Story
I fostered this dog to get it out of an abusive situation where children were grabbing him by the neck, pulling his tail and generally being mean to him. As a result, he is skittish of people he doesn't know, but especially children. Initially, he also didn't like things around his neck or to have his tail messed with. I took him in in order to give him a safe place and rehabilitate him a bit before finding someone to adopt him. He has since gotten a lot better, but can still be a bit erratic when nervous. He allows me to pet him and gently put my hands on his neck and play with his tail. He still needs work, but is on the recovery to being a 'normal' dog. He is still apprehensive with strangers, but once he knows someone, he is their very best friend. He is a true lap dog as his favorite thing is to lay on you, or next to you while on the couch. If you pet him while he lays there, he really loves that and belly rubs too.

🌼Meet Daisy ~ your tiny, mighty sidekick! At just 18 lbs, Daisy may be small, but her personality is HUGE. This 2 year old Pomeranian mix is equal parts cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and class clown wrapped up in one fluffy package. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be wherever you are. You can find her following you from room to room, checking in for kisses, then zooming off to play like it’s the best day ever (because to Daisy… it always is). Daisy is: -Potty trained outside and on pads -Knows a few commands and loves learning -Great with dogs, cats, and kids -Smart, athletic, and super people-focused She’s playful, curious, and always ready for the next activity, whether that’s a walk, a game of fetch, training time, or a cozy couch snuggle after a busy day. She bonds closely with her people and has that loyal “little shadow” energy that makes you feel so loved. Like many young, enthusiastic pups, Daisy still has some puppy-like habits (she can get a little mouthy when excited), but she’s already improving with positive reinforcement and just needs someone excited to keep teaching her. She’s incredibly eager to learn and would thrive in training classes, agility, or any fun activity that keeps her brain and body moving. Daisy’s dream home: An active family or adopter with time for daily exercise, play, and continued training. Someone who understands young dog energy and wants a fun, engaged companion to grow with.
