Story
Moonlight is a 4-year-old, 10-pound Pomeranian. She looks purebred to us, though we aren’t sure. She is as sweet a dog as you could hope for. She loves Foster Dogmom and gets along well with the 7 other dogs in the house, ranging from 4 to 40 pounds. Moonlight is missing one of her back legs. She was rescued from the streets of the Rio Grande valley, so we don’t know how she lost the leg, but it was at least surgically removed. The missing leg does not slow her down in the slightest. Foster Dogmom lives in a 2-story house, and Moonlight follows her up and down the stairs 15 times a day with no assistance. The only thing she can’t do is jump up on the furniture to sit in your lap, but at 10 pounds, she is easily lifted. Moonlight enjoys a good wrassle with the other dogs; her favorite position is on her back so that they come to her. She doesn’t play with toys much, but she loves to chew on Bene Bones. She also loves to go outside, trot around a bit, and then sun herself. Even with the missing back leg, Moonlight is able to do a very energetic Doggy Dance of Joy when Foster Dogmom comes home. She loves to sit on either the floor or your lap and look deeply into your eyes while you scritch her head, scratch her butt and tell her what a pretty girl she is. Moonlight has her manners down. She is housetrained, though you should expect to have to reinforce this in a new home. She’s not barky, unless of course the Amazon delivery driver comes to the house to drop off a package—and who wants a dog that doesn’t protect them from the Amazon delivery driver? During the day she hangs out in a dog bed when she’s not following Foster Dogmom up and down the stairs. At night, she likes to sleep on a cold, hard floor—probably because she’s a big fluffball and fur is hot! Moonlight would do equally well in a house or an apartment, with a senior or single, a couple, or a family. As you may have noticed from the photos, she is, well, kind of fat. She would benefit from a few short walks each day or a trip to the dog park. She is low-maintenance and a very easy dog to love. Moonlight is spayed, has all her shots, and is microchipped. She is heartworm-negative. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.

Story
Lucky was homed from the Colony Pet Services at the Colony, Texas when he was approximately two years old. He is of a Mixed Pomeranian breed, and very energetic. He was immediately attached to me, and very loyal, and gives me the love and fun times we shared together. He is currently approximately eight years of age and still likes to play and walk around the neighborhood, he likes all kinds of toys, and responds well to treats and commands. He does not like my son's cat in particular and is somewhat territorial at times. But over time, I have not had the proper time to care for him, due to my current health situation and family commitments and financial issues.I have not had the chance to get Lucky out in the world, except for when I send him to a pet hotel when we go out of town for long periods, he is very happy interacting with other dogs. He does not have very much exposure to other pets and/or children, though. Lucky needs someone who can take the time and be a companion to him.

Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: She was successfully treated for Heartworms. ***** No other obvious issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Meet Fiona, a sweet-hearted 9-year-old Pomeranian mix who is ready to find her forever home. Weighing in at about 30 lbs, this lovely lady has a gentle soul and is looking for a place where she can spend her senior years being completely spoiled and adored. Fiona has been through a lot in her life, but her resilience and capacity for love remain unmatched. While she can be a little cautious at first—usually needing about 24 hours to feel comfortable and show her true colors—once she warms up, she is a total sweetheart who will quickly steal your heart. Why you’ll love Fiona: *   Well-mannered: She is great on a leash and does very well in a kennel. *   Friendly: She is super sweet and affectionate with people.  *   Social progress: While she can be a bit picky about other dogs, she is doing a wonderful job learning to coexist and just needs a little patience and time to make new furry friends. Fiona truly deserves the world. If you are looking for a loyal companion to shower with love, she is ready to meet you. You can apply to adopt Fiona today and give her the happy, peaceful retirement she has been dreaming of! -- Where did she come from: She was found as a stray. Sadly no owner came looking for her at the shelter.  Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 28 lbs. This delightful 11-year-old Pomeranian weighs about 10 lbs and is an absolute doll. CoCo is not just a pretty face; she has a gentle soul, a heart full of love, and a playful side! She absolutely loves her toys and is a huge fan of chew bones. Just a heads up—she can be a little mischievous, but she’s so cute you won’t be able to stay mad at her! Quiet and calm, she is both kennel and leash trained, making her the perfect companion for leisurely strolls and cozy nights in. Though she may be a senior, CoCo has so much life and joy left to share! Her beautiful coat is growing back in nicely, and she’s looking better every day. CoCo is incredibly friendly and gets along well with other dogs, people, and even cats and children! She’s a curious girl, so she’ll need a little help staying out of the kitty litter box—a simple baby gate or keeping it in a spot she can’t reach is the perfect solution. Don't miss the chance to adopt this precious gem of a Pomeranian! CoCo is waiting for someone special to give her the love she deserves. Come meet her and see for yourself just how perfect she is! (Note: CoCo's hair was not cut by us; she came to us this way from the shelter where she was surrendered.) --  Where did she come from: Sadly, she was surrendered to the Lewisville animal shelter when her owners no longer had time for her.  Adoption: ***** $500.00 ***** Weight: 10.5 lbs.
