You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required. Surrendered with her sister, This baby needs a new mom. She's a beautiful baby, needs lot of love and reassurances. She's social and playful. Like any puppy, she needs love, patience, consistency, kindness, etc. you know. The things they ALL need! She's a wiggly happy baby! Please do not apply if you have a child under age 5 in the home or if you are a senior citizen This puppy requires a full-time 'stay at home' parent. Please do not apply if you are away from home more than 4 hours a day Since the puppy has yet to be spayed, she cannot be legally adopted yet. As a result, she may be placed in 'foster to adopt' homes. This means, the rescue still maintains legal ownership of the dog and upon satisfying the spay requirement and all vaccines, we complete the adoption contract. As a foster, you would be required to get the puppy to our vet (in Spring) for regular visits for vaccinations and her spay appointment (the rescue pays for this). If this is a problem your application cannot be approved. Local applicants only, please. Puppy placements require a home visit. Your application answers will help us determine if your home is the right home for this puppy. Please be as thorough as possible in the answering the questions. Missing phone numbers, invalid addresses, or other inaccurate data will cause your application to be denied without further processing. Once approved, we will forward your application to the foster for review. If the foster feels like this is a ‘good fit’, they will contact you to schedule a home visit. This may be done in person or virtually, at the foster's discretion. Should be you approved to 'foster-to-adopt' (FTA), you will be asked to execute a Foster-to-adopt Contract and submit ½ of the adoption fee. The other half will be due upon final vetting. Please take the time to READ the contract. If the terms are NOT AGREEABLE, please do not submit your application. We finalize our adoptions at this PetSmart Adoption fees are payable in CASH or VENMO. Please be patient if our response time is not as quick as you'd like. We are all volunteers and do as much as we can when we can.
