Story
How this pet arrived: Parker Bennet was brought in by a community member on June 24, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Parker Bennet, a beautiful dog who was brought in as a stray and needs some patience and understanding. Parker Bennet can be fearful and prefers to approach interactions at his own pace. He does however, love other dogs and would do best in a home with another social dog that can help him build his confidence! It's important to go slow and never force Parker Bennet into interactions. Due to Parker's shy behavior, it is important that his future home has children over the age of 10 only. As we learn more about this gorgeous pup, we'll update this description. If you're interested in meeting Parker Bennet, please visit us today. Don't forget to bring a leash and collar - you just might fall in love!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Story
How this pet arrived: Koda was brought in by his previous owner on August 11, 2024.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Koda! This well-mannered gentleman is a pro at basic obedience and crate training, making him the ideal companion for anyone who appreciates a dog with a bit of polish. He's also a big fan of regular spa days to keep his coat looking fabulous. Koda does require a dental procedure to extract a fractured canine, so his adopters should be prepared to follow-up with their private veterinarian. Koda also has a sensitive stomach which means he's a bit of a foodie connoisseur-no table scraps for this pup! He'll need a specific diet to keep his tummy happy and his...um, backyard contributions neat and tidy. If you're ready to commit to the care and grooming of an active, charming dog, Koda might just be the one for you! Don't forget that leash and collar-this stylish guy is ready to strut his stuff! Story
How this pet arrived: Valentine was brought in by her previous owner on June 29, 2024.Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Valentine, this sweet and playful pup is ready to steal your heart and keep your home lively! Valentine loves long cuddle sessions and will likely wiggle her way onto your lap for a hug if you sit next to her. She has a history of living harmoniously with older children, but doesn't like to share her things, so she may do best in a home without other pets. If you're looking for a furry Valentine who adds a dash of sweetness to every day, look no further - Valentine is waiting to charm her way into your family! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar, we have a feeling it'll be love at first sight! Primary Color: White Weight: 58.6 Age: 3yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Madame Foster was brought in by a community member August 8, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Madame Foster, the sweetest dog on the block who's been the ultimate caregiver for her puppies! After months of diligently raising her little ones, this super mom is ready to find her own home. Madame Foster is great with kids and has even lived peacefully with a cat. She enjoys her walks and is ready to explore the world by your side. She can get a little over excited when she sees other dogs, and would need to meet any current dog to ensure a good fit prior to going home! As a mainly outdoor dog, she'll need some help with indoor manners and potty training, but with a little guidance, we expect she'll settle well. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's as sweet as she is caring, Madame Foster is the perfect addition to your family! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!Dog Reactive Dog:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Story
PLEASE NOTE: ARRF DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. CONTACT NORMAN AT sozucom@hotmail.com to meet REX. Rex is a neutered dark brown Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix who weighs 40-45 lbs. He was born on May 4, 2018. He is loyal, loving, and protective and does best in a calm atmosphere. Rex is looking for a home with adults who will play tug with him and give him belly rubs. Outdoor space to run would be a huge bonus, as he loves pouncing on lizards in the bushes. He gets nervous around strangers including kids who want to pet and love on him. He adores his own pack, and he is microchipped and housetrained. To meet Rex or learn more about him, contact his foster, Norman, by emailing sozucom@hotmail.com.
