Meet Josie, the huggable Puggle! This little girl has an infectious personality and so much love to give. Her foster can’t emphasize enough how sweet she is! If you look up “goofball” in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Josie. She loves to meet new people and make them laugh with her silly puppy antics. She is very serious about playtime, so she’ll need active playmates that can keep up with her and don’t mind her puppy energy. While she is interested in cats, she can be a bit overbearing and we're not sure if your cat would return the interest. When she’s finally done playing, she will settle down for cuddles on the couch. We strongly recommend obedience training for all dogs, especially puppies! It’s important to start training early on, not only to prevent bad habits and encourage good behavior, but to build mutual trust and respect. Introducing Reed! This adorable pug mix has gotten to Rhode Island to meet his foster family! His foster Mom says he is so sweet and a great puppy! He sleeps through the night in his crate and loves a good snuggle in bed with his people in the morning! Reed has mastered using puppy pads and is working on housetraining, but baby it is cold outside for this pup! Reed went out with Foster Mom and Dad for coffee on a cold morning. He met big dogs, little dogs, and kids. He did great with everyone and will make a great addition to a lucky family! His foster family took a road trip for the holidays and Reed was afraid he would be left behind so he sat right in the middle of the suitcases. Of course, he was going too, and he was the best car passenger, sleeping peacefully in his crate during the ride. He loves to snuggle with other dogs and nap. Reed now has a girlfriend pup named Lola. She is a little bossy and Reed accepts correction from her well. He is great with other dogs and would make a great 2nd or 3rd dog addition to a family. Derek the devious 🤣 Meet Derek, a young adult male (approximately 1.5 years old) fawn pug. He has 2 resting faces: pouty or laughing. He is very loving, dog, cat, & all ages/sizes of humans friendly- true to his breed. Derek does not let architectural boundaries come between him & what he desires, be it the kitty kibble that was (🙄safely) secured behind three separate 3-4 ft baby gates, or the recycling that had been sitting on the far recessed of the kitchen countertop. He uses amazing “sproing” & scramble abilities to reach his desired destination. Housebreaking is a work in progress, having been introduced to him when he was trapped & taken in as a stray right before Christmas. Pugs can be notoriously stubborn, but they do desire to please, so he is about 75% of the way there. Do you have room for this sweet, spunky guy in your home & life?
