Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org 🐾☀️ Meet Concho — The Snuggliest Pug-ch of Joy You’ll Ever Meet ☀️🐾 Male • 6 Months Old • 17 lbs • Chihuahua x Pug • Professional Lap Warmer & Cuddle Engineer Concho is a 6-month-old, 17 lb tan bundle of love who’s pawsitively convinced that life is better when you’re touching a human. While his brother Tumbleweed is out running zoomies, Concho is busy perfecting the art of the full-body snuggle and the award-winning “melt into your lap” technique. This short-haired Chihuahua x Pug mix has the ultimate low-maintenance coat (less brushing, more blushing from all the compliments). He’s the most social and affectionate pup in the litter — a true people-pleaser who greets everyone with a full wiggle and zero personal space. Concho doesn’t just like cuddles… he’s utterly pug-sessed with them. He’s happiest being your personal shadow, your lap potato, or your emotional support snuggle bug. Playtime? He’s down for a quick wrestling match with his brother. But his real talent is turning any couch into a cuddle fortress. Life with Concho will include: • Endless tail wags and happy wiggles • Following you from room to room like a very cute stalker • World-class snuggle sessions • Occasional dramatic puppy sighs of contentment • Plenty of kisses and zero judgment At 17 lbs and still growing, he’s the perfect small-to-medium size — big enough for adventures, small enough to smuggle into almost anywhere. He’ll be your ideal partner for neighborhood strolls, errand co-piloting, and especially professional couch potato-ing. If your life could use more warmth, more giggles, and a little tan lovebug who’s Concho-lutely obsessed with you… this sweet boy is ready to come home and make every day pug-tastic! 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Concho wriggle his way into your heart! 🐶💛

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi!! I’m Petey! I’m an adorable pug/Dachshund mix, and I made my way here after a stay at Bandera Animal Control—but honestly, I’m just focused on the good stuff now… like PLAYTIME. I’ve got a big personality packed into a little body, and I’m full of energy and fun. I LOVE to play. Toys? Yes, please—all of them. I’ll chase them, toss them, and keep myself (and you) entertained. I’ve always got a little bounce in my step, and I’m happiest when I’m running around or right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. I’m super friendly and love everyone I meet, so making new friends is kind of my thing. I do get excited (okay, really excited), and I might bark to let you know just how happy I am—but that’s just me being me! Life is exciting, and I’m here for it. After I’ve burned off some energy, I’m more than happy to hang out and soak up attention. I just love being part of the action. I might need a little help with potty training at first, but I’m a smart guy and with some patience and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it in no time. My adoption fee is $400. If you want to take me home, apply at www.adoggie4you.org. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride to you, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. I can’t go to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state rules.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 15, 2026, 1:22 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bandit, a handsome young pug with an adventurous streak and a heart full of love! Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion who promises to keep you entertained and loved, Bandit is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! You can apply for Bandit at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $350.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
She is tiny. She is happy. She is absolutely full of personality! This is Beanie Baby! You just found the kind of little dog who brings a whole lot of life in a petite package. She’s estimated to be just shy of a year old and weighs just 22 lbs. While she might be a pug/terrier mix, rescue rules apply, so her exact blend is anyone’s guess. Breed doesn't matter though, you can see she is adorable and has that bright, joyful energy that makes her easy to love right away. See for yourself! Go watch Beanie Baby on YouTube and then come right back to read more. Seeing her bounce between playful and cuddly in real time really tells her story best. https://youtu.be/3sVWSTxmT5I One quick note you may notice in her video or photos. Beanie Baby previously had a visible cherry eye, which has since been corrected. It was purely cosmetic and never caused her pain, and now it’s been taken care of. Beanie Baby greets the world like it’s full of friends she just hasn’t met yet. She is open, affectionate, and sweet with new people, and while she does have that fun, energetic puppy spark, she also knows how to settle in and enjoy a good cuddle when the moment calls for it. She has such a nice balance. Play hard, then happily curl up close. Outside she’s confident and curious without being clingy. She’ll wander, explore, check things out, and make her rounds with an easygoing independence, then circle back in for some love. She is friendly with both people and dogs, showing the same happy, social approach without any tension or hesitation. She also has the beginnings of a fetch career… once she figures out the “bring it back” part, she’ll be unstoppable. That and maybe having a ball small enough to fit in her mouth. With other animals, she continues to shine. She is fostered in a home with a small dog and a similar age/size dog. Her foster shares that she is an enthusiastic playmate and has had zero issues. No jealousy, no tension, just a happy girl who likes to play and is happy when attention turns her way. When it comes to cats, she did beautifully. We introduced her to our house cat and she was excited to meet him but remained respectful and cautious with the perfect touch of curiosity. She gave him space, checked in politely, and coexisted without any stress. We see all the qualities of a dog that would be a great fit for a home with a cat. Beanie Baby is the kind of dog who could fit into a lot of different lifestyles. She’s small enough for apartment living, social enough for multi-pet homes, and has that adaptable, happy nature that makes transitions feel easy. She’s just a really good, really lovable little dog. If you’ve been looking for a pint-sized companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Beanie Baby is ready to make herself right at home. Apply today and welcome your favorite sidekick home! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69d3f72833e0b08f0207f06c Questions? Story
Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 10-week-old Pug mix puppy. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood stil and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever homes. We would prefer pug people for these pups, as they know the breed best. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever homes soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
