Story
Chase is the full package: adorable, affectionate, and full of personality. This handsome, squishy boy has the softest heart you’ll ever meet. He's crate and house trained, and he already has excellent manners in the home. Chase loves kids and has been wonderful with children of all ages. He plays well with other dogs-big or small-and enjoys having buddies to romp in the yard with. Don’t let his chunky bulldog body fool you... this boy can RUN! Chase absolutely loves to zoom around outside in the yard and will happily chase toys, leaves, or anything that dares move through the yard. When playtime is over, Chase turns into a total cuddle marshmallow. He loves to curl up next to you, melt into your lap, and wiggle in close for all the snuggles. He’s gentle, loving, and truly just wants to be near his people. He’s ready to meet his forever family. Chase is up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. He's neutered and microchipped, too. Chase has been treated for heartworm disease. To adopt, submit an application at www.because4paws.org

Story
Meet Winger! 🐾💙 Winger is a 3-year-old, 13-pound Pug/Dachshund mix with a BIG personality packed into a little body! This super friendly, outgoing guy came to us alongside his baby mama and her young litter — but now he’s ready to retire from dad life and step into his favorite role yet: your full-time lovebug. Winger is affectionate, playful, and loves being around people. He’s the kind of pup who will happily soak up attention, follow you around, and make every day brighter with his silly charm. Plus, he gets along great with other dogs, making him an easy addition to a multi-pup home. If you’re looking for a sweet, social little companion who’s ready to be your shadow and best friend, Winger is your guy!

Story
Meet Henry! This handsome little puggle is about 2 years old and weighs 22 pounds. He’s energetic, playful, and always ready for fun! Henry LOVES people and is so enthusiastic about greeting everyone he meets. He’s a happy guy with a big heart and a joyful spirit. Henry came to us after fathering his last litter (don’t worry—mama and babies are safe with us and doing great, and Henry is now scheduled to be neutered so his puppy-making days are officially behind him!). Now it’s his turn to be the one cared for, loved, and cherished. Henry would do great with a family who can match his playful energy, give him attention, and include him in their daily lives. He’s ready to start his new chapter and can’t wait to find his forever people!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bandit, a handsome young pug with an adventurous streak and a heart full of love! Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion who promises to keep you entertained and loved, Bandit is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! You can apply for Bandit at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $350.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Introducing Reed! This adorable pug mix has gotten to Rhode Island to meet his foster family! Unfortunately, Reed cannot be adopted to Massachusetts. His foster Mom says he is so sweet and a great puppy! He sleeps through the night in his crate and loves a good snuggle in bed with his people in the morning! Reed has mastered using puppy pads and is working on housetraining, but baby it is cold outside for this pup! Reed went out with Foster Mom and Dad for coffee on a cold morning. He met big dogs, little dogs, and kids. He did great with everyone and will make a great addition to a lucky family! His foster family took a road trip for the holidays and Reed was afraid he would be left behind so he sat right in the middle of the suitcases. Of course, he was going too, and he was the best car passenger, sleeping peacefully in his crate during the ride. He loves to snuggle with other dogs and nap. Reed now has a girlfriend pup named Lola. She is a little bossy and Reed accepts correction from her well. He is great with other dogs and would make a great 2nd or 3rd dog addition to a family. He would love to be your work out buddy or office assistant; he just loves to be with his people. He has the cutest little underbite and loves to show it off. Reed is a wonderful, fun pup who is excited to be in his new home in early 2026! Reed has been growing into a healthy, vibrant pup, eager to start the next chapter of his life with a family who can provide him with love, care, and plenty of playtime. He is always ready to cuddle when picked up and, when showered with affection, he will happily snuggle in your arms and drift off into a peaceful slumber. The ideal home for Reed would be one with a family committed to the ongoing training and development of a puppy. He might be a small guy, but he has a big heart, and he is not afraid to use his puppy eyes to get his way! Reed is heartworm negative, 6 months old, and up to date on his vaccinations. Apply for him with a free application @ www.americanlabrescue.com. Reed is looking forward to learning about what it means to be a part of a family, and he is hoping that family is yours!
