Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Who likes meatballs?!? Well, meet our resident 'meatball' Duck... or as we affectionately call him, Uncle Buck. And just like Uncle Buck, he's a chunky, jolly guy! Duck is a silly, goofy and lovable meatball that can sit and chill on the couch, or chill in his crate, which he loves. This approx. 10yo, 30lb. possible pug mix is housebroken, and loves his food and treats, and is always up for a walk. Duck loves every human he meets. He's met older children, but would be fine with respectable younger ones too. Duck is fine with chill dogs that don't 'crowd' him, and would probably be happiest with a doggy friend, but he doesn't require it. We are not sure about cats as he has not been around them.   Duck is great in the car and won't argue if you want to take him for a Starbucks pup cup. This boy had a minor condition called "cherry eyes" which were repaired by our vet. He also underwent a dental with teeth extractions. Duck's foster mom says he is most chill, laid back and easiest dog that she has fostered. Duck will make a wonderful companion for someone and he can't wait to find a forever home of his own. Duck does have anxiety and takes daily medication, he needs someone who is either retired or works from home and will be home with him most of the time. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home awaiting Duck, complete an app and tell us more about you.  November 4, 2026, 3:21 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Gooby! I'm a 4-year-old Pug who weighs 26 lbs. Just like my name sounds, I'm a goofy goober with a HUGE personality! I'm looking for a forever family who will cherish my silly antics, soak up my cuddles, and happily make me the center of their world. Favorite Things: Goofy Gooby absolutely loves being with his people. Whether he's cuddling up beside them or simply hanging out nearby, spending time with his humans is his idea of a perfect day. He also enjoys running around outside and is very much a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. Life is better when Gooby is around! Training & Manners: Gooby is a well-mannered gentleman who has the basics down. He is housetrained when kept on a consistent schedule and is always eager to be part of the fun. His leash-walking skills could use a little more practice, but with some patience and consistency, he's sure to continue making great progress. Health & Care: This silly boy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. As a Pug, Gooby has minimal grooming needs, making him a relatively low-maintenance companion. Other Animals: Gooby interacts well with other dogs and would do well in a home with or without them. He has not yet been introduced to any cats.  Children: Gooby would be happy to have kids in his forever home! He interacts well with children and would love having them around for cuddles, playtime, and plenty of adventures. Ideal Home: A single-family home, townhome, or apartment-style living could all be a good fit for Gooby. He doesn't need anything extravagant—just a loving family who will give him plenty of attention, companionship, and a cozy place to call home. Overall: Gooby is the kind of dog who makes life more fun just by being in it. He's affectionate, goofy, easygoing, and full of personality. And if you're lucky, he may even show you one of his favorite tricks—a HANDSTAND! Yep, this silly boy loves showing off his impressive skills. Are you the one for Gooby? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to apply! If it seems like Gooby could be a good match, his foster family will be in touch. His adoption donation is $375. ##2828458##

Story
***Local adoption only: Kai needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking him to his follow-up vetting appointments for remaining vaccines and neuter with PPR's vetting partner. These appointments will be scheduled through PPR, and the cost is included in his adoption donation. Hi, I’m Kai, an almost 5monthold Pug-Pomeranian blend weighing 13.5 pounds. My name means “sea,” and just like the ocean, I bring a little fun and excitement wherever I go. I’m a happy puppy who enjoys car rides, meeting new friends, and discovering what each day has in store.  Favorite Things: Kai’s favorite pastime is carrying toys from place to place and deciding which one deserves his attention next. He always seems to have a toy nearby and enjoys turning everyday moments into playtime. A good toy can keep him entertained for quite a while. Training and Manners: Kai is still learning the ropes of puppyhood. He’s working on house training and gaining confidence on a leash. His love of treats makes him an eager student and helps new lessons stick. Health and Care: Kai is microchipped and up to date on his puppy vaccines. He will need a local adopter committed to bringing him to his remaining vaccine appointments and neuter, which are covered by his adoption fee. Like any dog, he will need monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His grooming needs are wonderfully simple and mostly consist of regular nail trims. Other Animals: Kai gets along beautifully with other pets. He has experience with dogs of all sizes and has also lived successfully with cats. His friendly approach makes him a great addition to a home with existing furry family members. Children: Kai would do best with children ages 8 and older. Because he is still young and easily excited, older kids who can help encourage good habits and respectful interactions will be the best match for him. Ideal Home: Kai thrives in a singlefamily home where he has plenty of companionship throughout the day. He forms strong attachments and can be quite vocal when left by himself, simply because he would rather be included than miss out on the fun. A family that can provide consistency, attention, and reassurance will help him feel his best. Overall: Kai is a cheerful young pup with a bright personality and an endearing zest for life. He combines the playful nature of a puppy with the loving heart of a devoted companion, making him a joy to have around. If Kai sounds like the perfect match, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it seems like a good fit, his foster family will reach out. His adoption donation is $650. ##2854814##

Story
Rosie is female and Riley is male. These sweet siblings do just about everything together: sleep, eat, play, walk, and explore. They are also devoted little shadows who love being close to their people. We are looking for a forever home where they can stay together - and bring twice the pug love. What you need to know about Rosie & Riley: Activity Level & Personality - Both are active, playful pugs who enjoy walks, toys, bones, and exploring together. - Rosie is an enthusiastic diner who eats quickly and rarely questions the menu. Riley is the family food critic: he picks out the best parts of dinner and carefully sniffs and considers every treat. - Both are affectionate lap pugs who like to follow their people around the house. - They are not particularly early risers and are happy with breakfast around 7–7:30 a.m. Compatibility & Behavior - Rosie and Riley are closely bonded, and we want them to be adopted together. - They do well with children and other dogs. They have no known experience with cats. - Both walk well on a leash and have not shown aggression toward dogs they encounter on walks. - They are mostly potty trained and crate trained; continued consistency and routine will be needed in their forever home. - They currently sleep in a crate, although they would probably welcome an invitation to the human bed. - Neither is a big barker, but they may briefly complain when their people leave the house. - Car rides begin with a little commentary, followed by settling down. - Both hear well and respond to their names. Health & Medical - Rosie weighs 17 pounds, and Riley weighs 21 pounds. Both are up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. Riley has been neutered and Rosie was recently spayed. - Both have dry eye and pigmentary keratitis (PK), which causes dark pigment to develop on the surface of the eyes and affects their vision. They receive eye drops twice daily and will need ongoing eye care, including eye drops, for the rest of their lives.

Story
Jax is playful, active, food motivated, and very affectionate. He likes being involved in whatever is going on and is happiest when he has plenty of attention, activity, and a person nearby. He is definitely a Velcro pug, so if you are looking for a dog who will happily follow you from room to room, Jax may be your guy. Activity Level & Personality - Jax is basically adorable chaos in a tiny little body. He is lovingly described as a Tasmanian devil, and he definitely has a touch of little man syndrome. He is busy, opinionated, and very committed to being involved in absolutely everything. - Jax likes to assert himself, has plenty to say, and does not believe in quietly accepting decisions he disagrees with. If he is left alone in a crate or corral, he will screech, scream, and make sure the entire household is aware that this arrangement is unacceptable. He wants to be with his people all the time. - Jax loves being close to his people and is happiest when he can curl up on a lap and settle in. He does not want to just be nearby; he must be with you or on you. - Jax walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. Compatibility & Behavior - Jax previously lived with children and would do well with an active family that can keep him entertained, give him plenty of exercise and structure, and appreciate a dog with a lot of personality packed into a very small package. He is not looking for a quiet, low key retirement lifestyle. He wants action, attention, and preferably a front row seat to everything happening in the house. - Jax has strong opinions about which dogs he wants to live with, and some of that definitely seems to tie back to his little man syndrome. He can be playful with other dogs, but he is selective and seems to prefer smaller female dogs who are a little more willing to let him think he is in charge. Our preference is for Jax to be the only dog in his new home, where he can soak up all the attention and avoid unnecessary power struggles. If you already have another dog, a meet and greet will be required before moving forward so we can make sure the personalities are a good match. - Jax is still working on potty training, and in his defense, he came into rescue with nearly three years of questionable bathroom habits already firmly established. He was not neutered and had spent a lot of time engaged in marking and ongoing pee contests with his brother, basically treating the house like one giant message board. Now that Jax is neutered and no longer living with his sibling, we are working on undoing those habits with consistency, supervision, routine, and lots of trips outside. He is making progress, but his new family will need to stay committed to the process and understand that this is not a habit that disappears overnight. He is very food motivated, which should make that training process a little easier and gives his future family a pretty useful bargaining chip. - Jax strongly prefers sleeping in the human bed, so anyone hoping to keep the bed pug free may want to keep scrolling. He is not a fan of the crate and will let you know his feelings about it. See notes above. - Jax would greatly enjoy a fenced yard in his forever home, but it is not a requirement. He would absolutely put it to good use for zoomies, patrol duty, investigating every suspicious leaf, and burning off some of that Tasmanian devil energy. A yard would be a big bonus for him, especially in an active home that gives him plenty of opportunities to run, sniff, and supervise the premises. Health & Medical - Jax is 3 years old and weighs 14 pounds. - Jax is up to date on vaccines, HW negative, neutered and microchipped. - Jax has some missing patches of fur and has a history of allergies, although the specific allergy has not yet been identified. He has received a Cytopoint injection to help manage his allergy symptoms.
