Story
Quinn is a fast-moving, goofy, tiger- stripped lovebug with just enough spice to keep life fun at full throttle. She gets along with other dogs, but would love to be your one and only! She brings the comedy and fun wherever she goes and is always ready for whatever is next on the agenda. She can stand on her cute little muscled up hind legs and walk like her humans for her favorite treats. She is a little athlete, ready to chase and frolock with anyone up to her challenge. She delights in giving kisses and ear washes. This cutie is a pro on leash walks and is pretty good with her house training. She loves children and will be most happy to be their bed partner to keep away the monsters. She is a mighty 19 pound little firecracker just waiting on her perfect family to scoop her up! We estimate she is about 2 years old. Her adoption fee is $399 and if she requires transport from her foster home in WEst TN there will be an additional $200 fee. She will be ready by the 3rd weekend of March once her vetting is complete. If you are interested in adopting please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog

Story
Duke Jackson is an 8 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 21lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Duke is all Boston! He’s an active Boston who loves walks, toys, his crate, mealtime, and so much more!  Duke is an early riser, so it’s the perfect time to take him for an AM walk before it gets too hot, but like a true Boston, he loves to sunbathe too. Duke does great on a leash on walks or casual strolls. He is crate trained and house trained. He LOVES his toys and like to play play play, but he is learning “all done” means it’s time to rest. He currently takes Prozac to help him settle into his new routine, but we believe this could be weened off as he adjusts to life in his new furever home and a stable environment.  Duke would thrive in a home where he was the only dog. Because of his energy level, we recommend a home without children. He has some mildly elevated liver and kidney labs, so we recommend checking those at least once a year to make sure they are staying consistent.  Duke is spunky, funny, cute, and of course a little stubborn - all of the ingredients of a great Boston terrier companion! If you would like to give Duke his forever home, please submit an application at southerncrossbtr.com. The adoption fee is $250. He is being fostered in Nashville, TN. Approved adopters must be willing to travel to where the dog is being fostered in order to adopt them.  For a complete listing of all of our available Bostons, or to learn more about SCBTR, please visit our website at www.southerncrossbtr.com. Story
Truman is a 2 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 28lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Truman is just like his name; he is a true gentleman.  He is playful, joyful, and eager to please.  His past is less known and more of a guess.  He was found in a Walmart parking lot and was skin and bones.  Since then, he has gained as much confidence in himself and others as he has physical weight.    His favorite pastimes are chasing balls, chewing on Benebones and bully sticks, being in social settings, long walks, and tug of war.   He loves to cuddle and snuggle underneath blankets.  He will hide under furniture when he needs to feel safe or is overstimulated. Things to know about Truman in order to match him with the right forever home is that he needs to go to a quiet home.  That means a home with no young children, and no excessively barking dogs.  He does have some food aggression when it comes to treats.  He won't bite if you try to take it away, but he will growl and won't let go.  This may be because for a while he didn't know when or if he would eat again, and because he has a very high prey drive.  Truman is also an escape artist, so in his next home he will need safeguards in place to make sure this does not happen, such as a fenced in yard or the use of baby gates. In short, Truman is a very special dog.  He is one of my favorite fosters.  He deserves a loving and affectionate home, and a life of love and joy with people that he should have had from the start. If you would like to give Truman his forever home, please submit an application at southerncrossbtr.com. The adoption fee is $375. He is being fostered in Brevard, NC. Approved adopters must be willing to travel to where the dog is being fostered in order to adopt them.  For a complete listing of all of our available Bostons, or to learn more about SCBTR, please visit our website at www.southerncrossbtr.com. Story
Jill is a 1 year old Boston Terrier mix that weighs about 37lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Meet Jill, a perfectly sweet girl with the cutest perky ears! Jill found herself in rescue when she was found wandering the streets after a snow and ice storm. Some very nice people took her in to save her from freezing outside. We do believe that she was someone's dog at some point, because she knows some commands such as "sit", "shake", and "down", where she lays on her tummy and wants belly rubs. She has the best disposition and is the perfect combo and sweet and fun. She does well with other dogs after proper slow introductions. She is both crate trained and house trained, will let you know when she needs to go out, and has never had an accident in the house. She loves a good chew toy. Jill loves to lay in the sunshine-thats how bostons recharge :) She would love a yard to run around in and play. With some practice, she now walks on leash with her harness without any issues. After some play, Jill will plop down in her dog bed for some much needed rest. She does well with children of all ages. Jill is a lover and loves to snuggle and hug her humans. Jill has so much love to give and will make someone a wonderful companion! If you would like to give Jill her forever home, please submit an application at southerncrossbtr.com. The adoption fee is $375. She is being fostered in Bell Buckle, TN.
