Story
Popeye and Olive Oil have perfected the art of doing life side by side- preferably from the comfort of a recliner, with one pug tucked on each side of their favorite person! These adorable little couch potatoes are estimated to be around five years old, and they come as a set. They have spent their entire lives together, are deeply bonded and are available for adoption only as a pair. Fortunately, making room for both is easy when all they really want is love, treats and a cozy place to land. Go watch Popeye and Olive Oil on YouTube in “Popeye & Olive Oil | Twice the Pug, Twice the Love” and see this sweet little duo enjoying life exactly as they like it- together. https://youtu.be/g7sy5l7mLf8 Popeye and Olive Oil are fostered in a loving home with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from small companions to big older dogs. They get along well with the whole crew, although their naturally relaxed energy makes them happiest around dogs who also appreciate a peaceful pace. They are not looking to organize the neighborhood Olympics. Their idea of a perfect evening involves a soft seat, a good show and a person positioned conveniently close. They are also wonderful with cats. Popeye and Olive Oil have lived with feline friends before and were completely respectful when introduced to our house cat- even while he was feeling particularly feisty and putting their manners to the test. These two handled him beautifully and made it very clear that they had no interest in creating any drama. Both are good car riders once their tiny legs receive a little assistance getting aboard. Neither has much jump behind them, so a quick boost is appreciated. After that, they are happy to settle in and enjoy the ride together. More than anything, Popeye and Olive Oil are easy, affectionate little companions who simply want to be included. They bring twice the sweet faces, twice the pug charm and a perfectly matched pair of warm bodies for anyone whose recliner currently feels a little too empty. Popeye and Olive Oil are available only as a bonded pair. Story
There are cute dogs... and then there are dogs that make you laugh every single time you look at them. Siggy Smalls is definitely the second one. Between the squishy bulldog face, the slow little waddles, and the fact that he proudly carries stuffed toys around like they're his most prized possessions, it's honestly impossible not to smile when he's around. Then you get to know him and somehow he gets even better. He's sweet, happy, affectionate, easy to be with, and has that classic bulldog personality that makes people fall in love with the breed in the first place. Watch his video and prepare to fall in love with this handsome little bulldog: https://youtu.be/6yDu9e6Za20?si=859UMYuFD_-CE5EK Siggy is believed to be approximately 2 years old and currently weighs about 37 pounds. As with any rescue dog, his history is always a bit of a mystery, but we're confident this handsome guy is an English Bulldog. Whatever his story was before rescue, it's clear he came with everything people adore about the breed. Siggy is the kind of dog that's simply enjoyable to have around. He's happy doing his own thing, happy hanging out with his people, and always ready for a few pets or a cuddle when the moment feels right. He's affectionate without constantly needing your attention and has an easygoing personality that makes everyday life together feel comfortable. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or enjoying a quiet evening, Siggy is more than happy to be part of it. Siggy has also spent time with children as young as 7 years old and was immediately sweet with them. He happily leaned in for affection, relaxed beside them on the couch, and soaked up every bit of attention they wanted to give. We think he has the potential to make a wonderful companion for a family with respectful kids. One of our absolute favorite things about Siggy is his love for stuffed toys. He doesn't just play with them... he carries them everywhere like they're his little babies. Watching this stocky little bulldog proudly parade around with a stuffed animal in his mouth is about as adorable as it sounds. He enjoys entertaining himself with toys, happily shares them, and if another dog happens to grab one, Siggy usually just shrugs, wanders off, and finds another. He's also a fan of treats and already knows how to sit. He seems eager to learn, especially when snacks are involved, and we think he'll enjoy continuing his training with his future family. Siggy is crate trained, appears very comfortable relaxing in his crate, and so far has shown wonderful house manners. Like many Bulldogs, Siggy prefers taking life at his own pace. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling much at all, but he isn't looking for long hikes or hours of exercise. Because of his breed, he gets warm fairly quickly, so shorter walks, especially during the summer months are definitely more his style. The good news is that his lower energy level also makes us think he has the potential to do very well in an apartment, provided his family is mindful of hot weather, don’t have a ton of stairs (because…little legs), and gives him regular opportunities to stretch his legs. With other dogs, Siggy does best when everyone is given a chance to meet at a comfortable pace. Like many Bulldogs, he can be a little enthusiastic during first introductions, but once everyone has had a moment to settle in, he's perfectly content coexisting. He wasn't interested in roughhousing and mostly preferred carrying around his toys while the other dogs did their thing. We think he'd do well with a calm female dog that appreciates a slower introduction, although we also think he'd be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as you're one and only. Siggy also met our house cat, Biggie, and was refreshingly uninterested. He barely acknowledged him before deciding there were much more important things to focus on... like his stuffed toys. We'd still like to do one additional cat test before placing him in a home with cats, but his first introduction was very encouraging. Siggy is everything people hope for when they picture life with a Bulldog. He's funny without trying, affectionate without being clingy, easy to live with, and full of those goofy little bulldog quirks that make you smile every day. Add in his love for stuffed animals, his sweet personality, and his slow, happy approach to life, and you've got one pretty special little guy who's ready to make himself right at home. We are willing to test Siggy Smalls with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Angel is built like a baked potato, cuddles like it is her full-time job, and carries herself with the confidence of someone who has never once questioned whether she is the most important person in the room. She is sweet, affectionate, outgoing, and so naturally funny that she can make you laugh without actually doing anything. One look at that face and all 50 pounds of bulldog personality, and it is nearly impossible not to adore her. Watch her video and fall in love with this adorable girl: https://youtu.be/aek-swBrRc4 Angel is approximately 6 years old and currently weighs around 50 pounds. We believe she may be an English Bulldog mix, but with animal rescue, breeds are always a mystery and never an exact science! Angel is dog friendly and has met a handful of dogs with different sizes and personalities. Her approach to friendship is very classically bulldog. She is confident, headstrong, slightly bossy, and fully prepared to appoint herself president of the household without holding an election. She would do best with a tolerant, easygoing dog who does not take life too seriously and is comfortable letting Angel believe she is in charge. A passive companion who can shrug off a little bulldog sass and go with the flow would likely be her best match. She does not need another dog in the home to feel comfortable or help her open up. Angel would be equally happy as the one and only princess of the household, soaking up every cuddle and ensuring no one accidentally divides her share of the attention. She is not looking to share her kingdom with any kitties, so a cat-free home will be required. Angel loves toys and is especially enthusiastic about a good game of tug-of-war. Like many bully-type dogs, she provides her own dramatic sound effects while she plays. Her grumbles may sound like she is fiercely negotiating the terms of the game, but she is simply having the best time. She also loves treats, knows how to sit, and is always happy to demonstrate her skills when snacks are involved. She is crate trained and comfortable relaxing in her crate. Angel also has wonderful house manners, and her foster considers her fully potty trained. She could potentially do well in either an apartment or a home with a backyard because she is great at adjusting her energy to match the day. She is generally medium to low energy, perfectly content to spend hours being a snuggle bug, but she still has playful moments when the toys come out and the mood strikes. Angel is a classic bulldog in every possible way. She has opinions, a healthy amount of attitude, and the firm belief that suggestions are merely opportunities for further discussion. Bulldog people know exactly what we mean. Her sass is not a flaw to be fixed. It is part of the hilarious, lovable package that makes the breed so special. Because Angel has that confident, larger-than-life bulldog personality, she will do best with adopters who understand the breed or are familiar with strong, self-assured dogs. She listens well and responds beautifully to clear, consistent guidance from someone who can lovingly set boundaries and follow through. With a confident person showing her the ropes, Angel is more than happy to cooperate while still bringing plenty of the bulldog charm, sass, and personality that make her so lovable. Angel is a bulldog lover’s dream. She is loving, friendly, wonderfully silly, and always ready to curl up beside her people for as much affection as they are willing to give. She is looking for a family who will laugh at her dramatic little grumbles, appreciate her very important opinions, and happily let her become the cuddly, sassy center of their world. If you have been waiting for a dog who can fill your home with love, laughter, and an impressive amount of personality, Angel is ready to claim her spot on your couch and in your heart. We are willing to test Angel with anything you need in order to ensure it’s a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Tater Tot is exactly what his name suggests- golden brown, round, hearty, a little lumpy, deeply lovable, and best enjoyed on the couch. He is estimated to be around 7 years old and is every bit the classic bulldog experience rolled into one chunky little package. Low to the ground, low on energy, and highly motivated by snacks, Tater Tot is not looking for adventure. He is looking for comfort, air conditioning, and someone who understands the beauty of a simple life. Rescue rules apply, so no promises on breed or birthday. Go watch Tater Tot on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this snack-seeking couch potato. https://youtu.be/6S8myH-_Bgc Tater Tot is wonderfully uncomplicated with people. He is confident meeting new friends, enjoys attention without demanding it constantly, and handles busy environments with the same energy as a dad walking through Home Depot on a Saturday morning. Calm. Unbothered. Mildly interested in where the treats are located. He is easy to leash, walks at the easiest pace (don’t call it slow), settles quickly, and truly seems happiest just wandering around at his own pace before finding a comfy place to lay down. And honestly? That is pretty much the dream bulldog setup. Now for the important placement note: Tater Tot really needs to be a solo dog. Not because he is aggressive or reactive, but because he is an older bulldog with absolutely zero respect for other dogs’ personal space. His entire social strategy currently revolves around awkward attempts to fast-track the relationship. This could be said a million ways but he is just wildly unconcerned with other dogs’ opinions on personal space. Here are a few- * Tater Tot approaches dog friendships with the confidence of someone who has never heard the word ‘boundaries. * Tater Tot is wildly unconcerned with other dogs’ opinions on personal space. *Tater Tot treats every dog introduction like an awkward speed date nobody agreed to attend. Some dogs tolerate it. Some absolutely will not. Tater Tot himself stays cool and unbothered but simply, it is much easier, happier, and safer to manage his freshy-boy tendencies as the only pet in the home. The good news is he genuinely does not seem to need dog friends to feel fulfilled. Tater Tot feels like a dog who would thrive in a quiet home where the daily agenda includes snacks, naps, short strolls, and rotating all his parts between sunny spots on the floor. He is low energy, easygoing with people, and recovers quickly from stressful situations. He crates well, settles well, and overall gives off “retired uncle with a recliner” energy in the absolute best way. Tater Tot does not need much. Just a comfy home, some understanding of classic bulldog quirks, and someone willing to love a sweet older guy exactly as he is. Ready to welcome Tater Tot home?
