Story
Basement Babies - Coal Did you know that November 1st is a holiday? It is because it is my birthday and we will need to celebrate it every year!! I am one of 5 puppies who were born under a house to a little 13 pound chihuahua looking mama dog. It wasn’t really in a basement but it was a shelter from the cold and wind. Anyhow, mom was a wild child so we came to the rescue to learn to love people and have a home so we don’t have to walk on the wild side. Some of us look like perhaps mom or even dad had some pug in them, as we have some of the coloring or the shorter mugs of a pug. But all of us are 100% adorable! I am the largest pup of the litter and the one who is a beautiful caramel color. I am very sweet and love to chase my siblings up and down the hallway to the room where our buddy, Busy Boots hangs out. She is great to play with and loves us puppies very much! I will be on the small side, depending on what genetic size my rambler dad brought, but I should be under 15-20 pounds fully grown. I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you? Anyhow, I won’t last long as I am adorable, if I do say so myself! Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bandit, a handsome young pug with an adventurous streak and a heart full of love! Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion who promises to keep you entertained and loved, Bandit is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! You can apply for Bandit at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $350.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 3:05 pm

Basement Puppies - Cinnamon Hello There! Personally, I have the pug look and I like not looking like my siblings. Aren’t I a cutie? I am Cinnamon and one of the girl puppies in the litter. I am sweet and love to play and do things that 8 week old puppies love to do. I was born about November 1 and that is my official “guesstimate” birthday. So we can celebrate my birthday then and any other day you want to pick for my birthday too. I am not fussy! I will most likely be small, maybe 15 to 20 pounds-ish, depending on how big dad was but, we are on track to be that size as I am only 3.1 pounds now at 8 weeks. I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you? Story
Animal Profile: Meet Apple! Apple is a 7 month old Pug mix. She and her siblings were brought to the shelter and dropped off in a cardboard box. Our rescue partner, Saving Shelter Strays, reached out to us for help. Foster Update: Apple is a smedium sized pup (25lbs) with a big personality!   Immediately after arriving from Texas she was zooming around the yard with our dog and then crashed out with cute puppy snores. She is curious, goofy, and a top-tier snuggler. Apple loves toys, sticks, and playing with both dogs and people. She is doing great with her potty training and   does well in the car in a crate. She loves her toys, playing fetch, and zoomies in the yard. She can entertain herself when needed. She doesn’t pull on the leash but is still learning to walk in a straight line . Apple loves treats and is very food motivated, which makes training easy and fun!  Anybody would be lucky to have this sweet baby! Apple would love an active home! Another   playful canine companion would be great but isn’t mandatory .  She will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard to get her zoomies out. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued in partnership with Saving Shelter Strays in Texas and arriving to Seattle area foster care via Birdie Express Transport arriving on 08/08. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.December 21, 2025, 2:30 pm
