We can't have a Bonnie without a Clyde! Clyde was terrified at animal control, and he showed teeth to just about everyone. He LOVES other dogs, and quickly started to trust his foster mom. Sometimes, they just need patience and love. This is why foster families are SO important! Clyde was at risk of euthanasia due to his fear-based aggression. This poor little guy was just misunderstood. He is just 3-years-old, and he is a little plump at 12-pounds. We think he's likely a Chihuahua/JRT mix. Clyde must have another friendly dog in his forever home. He would be best in a family without young children. Someone who can continue to help him to trust strangers would be ideal. Clyde is good on a leash, in the car, likes to cuddle, and he likes to play. He is fine in a crate, but you have to let him come out on his own time. Betsy came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with 130 other dogs, so the world is still a big, unfamiliar place to her. She isn’t fearful forever—she just needs a little time, patience, and someone who understands that trust is earned. One thing that gives Betsy confidence? Other small dogs! She absolutely needs a friendly, confident canine companion in her forever home to show her the ropes and help her continue blossoming. Watching another dog enjoy life helps Betsy realize she can too. She is crate trained, rides well in the car, and is potty pad trained. Leashes are still new to her, so she’ll need a secure home and a family willing to let her learn at her own pace. Elmer is the smallest in his litter but carries the biggest personality. He doesn’t like to be left alone and will voice his opinion without a doubt. He is currently working on crate and potty training in his foster home. Elmer is sleeping through the night in his crate (with some accidents) and taking his daily naps in the crate. He has spent lots of time outside leaving little room to have accidents in the house but he will do well indoors if watched closely. He tends to start pacing anytime he needs to go. Elmer is looking for a home that’s willing to spoil him yet understands the Beagle traits. He is a very vocal boy and will not hold back when it comes to letting you know how he feels. Apply to adopt NOW! All Pet Central Helps animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match.
