THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. The total adoption fee of $400 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. CANELA is currently in foster care in Houston, The adoption fee includes the transport by Mighty Mutt Shipping if interested there is an application on our website houstonshaggydogrescue.org This sweet little cubby chihuahua mix, her Dna test shows a mixture of 14 different breeds..she is approx 18 months and 22 lbs.. she loves to eat and needs to lose some weight She has a big personality and a lot of character , she loves to sleep on her fosters bed or in her doggie bed, she hides her nightly treats under her fosters pillow and the foster has to hunt for them before getting into her bed she gets along with all of the other rescues and seems to be pretty well house and leash trained and loves people she’s very much a couch potato and a home with someone who can take her on walks and give her some exercise would be great she tested positive for heartworms and was treated with the AHS protocols, we find that the dogs usually test negative in 4 to 6 months, she is also on a monthly heartworm preventative..
