Boba is a happy go lucky fellow. A real character, full of surprises and fun. He has been known to open doors and jump baby gates to gett where he wants to go. You will love his smooshie face and curly q tail. Boba traveled all the way from Bexar, Texas and is anxious to start his new life in the midwest. He gets along with most dogs, but has had issues with some and he's not afraid to show his dislike. For that reason, he needs a home where any other dogs would be laid back and not trying to show their dominance. Boba is 90 percent house trained and is crate trained as well. He loves to cuddle on the couch and give kisses. If you would like to meet this sweet little boy, pleas submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org. We will then contact you to schedule a meet and greet. Boba is utd on vaccines, neutered, HW tested (-), flea treated and microchipped.

Charlie just turned 3 years old — a birthday she spent, once again, behind the walls of the shelter she’s called home for almost a year and a half. 🥀She’s a beautiful Rottweiler/Retriever mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul… but you’ll have to earn the chance to see that side of her. Charlie struggles with meeting new people — the world hasn’t always been kind to her — but if someone could just give her a few chances, visit her a couple of times, sit quietly nearby and let her heart unfold on its own… they’d find the most loyal, gentle, loving dog waiting underneath the fear. 💔Once she trusts you, she’s pure sunshine — a snuggly, kiss-giving, tail-wagging angel who will follow you anywhere. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and loves to stretch her legs running around the yard before curling up in a soft bed or a pile of blankets. She doesn’t care much for toys — she just wants love, safety, and someone to finally stay. 🐾Charlie has done well with some dogs here, but she takes her time getting comfortable — both with people and other pets. She’d do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with no young kids or cats.She’s a staff and volunteer favorite because we’ve seen the real her — the dog that greets you with kisses, melts into your lap, and looks at you like you’re her entire world. 🌙We keep telling her that her person is out there. That someone will see past the nerves and realize what a once-in-a-lifetime dog she truly is. This is Jax, and he’s hurting in a way dogs can’t explain.Jax is an older guy who lost the only home he ever knew when his owner passed away. One day he had a person, a routine, and a place where he belonged… and the next, he was here. He didn’t do anything wrong. His world just disappeared.Even now, Jax still has so much life in him. He’s surprisingly energetic for his age, a little spunky, a little quirky, and full of personality. He seems to enjoy other dogs and does well with kids, and you can tell he wants connection — he just doesn’t know how to ask for it yet.Jax also tested positive for heartworm, but the good news is he’s almost finished with treatment. He’s been so brave through it all, quietly enduring vet visits and rest when he didn’t understand why his life had changed so drastically.Older dogs like Jax are often overlooked. They wait longer.
