Boba is a happy go lucky fellow. A real character, full of surprises and fun. He has been known to open doors and jump baby gates to gett where he wants to go. You will love his smooshie face and curly q tail. Boba traveled all the way from Bexar, Texas and is anxious to start his new life in the midwest. He gets along with most dogs, but has had issues with some and he's not afraid to show his dislike. For that reason, he needs a home where any other dogs would be laid back and not trying to show their dominance. Boba is 90 percent house trained and is crate trained as well. He loves to cuddle on the couch and give kisses. If you would like to meet this sweet little boy, pleas submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org. Story
Hi! My name is Mela and I'm a female beagle/chihuahua mix weighing in at 11 pounds.  I'm around 9 years old, and I love to walk, smell the ground, and wag my tail. I love everyone I meet and if you're my person, I would love to snuggle next to you as much as you allow. Otherwise, give me a soft dog bed and I'm happy! My perfect person would be someone home a great deal and loves to have me snuggle next to you! I'm very curious and like to watch everything you do! I get along great with my doggy brothers and sisters and I think I'd get along with cats, if I ever meet one! However, I'd love to be your one and only and get all your attention! I have a few mobility issues, but they mainly keep me from jumping up on things or from just standing for long periods of time. I can handle steps well, can run, and jump down from a couch! My doctor found a mass on my spleen, so I had surgery to have it removed! It was benign, so I'm doing really well! I didn't have a very good dental plan at my last place, so I'm missing quite a few teeth, but I'm still able to eat dry kibble and treats, so all good! I can sleep very nicely in my crate at night, although I wouldn't be sad if you let me stay on your bed! I'm doing really well with my potty training as long as you are paying attention to me! I'd be so grateful to find someone to love me that I will love back a thousand fold.  Is that YOU!? Diamond is a Blue Tick Beagle around 4 years old. She is only 15 pounds. She is friendly and loves attention, but is very submissive towards people. She loves other dogs and gets along with cats and kids, too. She is house trained and crate trained. Outside, she will follow her nose anywhere, so can be stubborn out there. This also means she will do anything to get to that smell. She can climb a fences and jump really high for her small size.
