Fresh on the market… Porkchop - 3 years old, male French bulldog - Playful, sassy, vocal - Happy to entertain himself with a bone - Will suckle a stuffy to put himself to sleep - Likes to be in the company of his people, but not typically a snuggler - Smart cookie and eager to learn - Crate-trained and housebroken - Content to go to a home with or without other dogs, as people are his main focus - Requires prescription food and daily medication to manage his allergies, so any applicants should be prepared to continue this regimen to keep him feeling his best - Thrives with a routine and enjoys his daily walks - Cats: kitty-free homes only, please - His ideal household has no children under 12 years old as he can get overstimulated by the big energy of small humans - Looking for a loving household committed to ongoing socialization and training, as well as managing his allergies to help him to live his very best life Pitties.Love.Peace, License #08420 Elizabethtown, PA 17022 Our standard adoption fees are listed below, however fees may be increased for purebred or giant breed dogs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hey there, I’m one of the lucky beagles — and wow, do I have a story! &#226&#156&#168 I’ve spent over half my life being beaten and mistreated. My owner ran a cockfighting ring (yeah, real classy guy ), and when he finally got caught, all five of my beagle buddies and I were scooped up and taken off the property. We were terrified. But honestly? At that point, I figured things couldn’t get much worse. …well, turns out, they almost did. We were scheduled to be euthanized — and no, that’s not like a fancy award or a “good dog” certificate. It’s the bad kind. The “game over” kind. But then… BOOM! Hero moment! ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue swooped in and saved five of us! Another rescue had already claimed one, so the six of us were split up with care. A super cool couple agreed to take the three of us who were the most scared (hey, no shame — some of us are just delicate, okay?). The two braver beagles went off to the ranch, where they can run, play, and show off their confidence. As for me? I’m about to learn what it’s like to be loved — like, actually loved. Soft beds, belly rubs, snacks that I don’t have to steal, and humans who don’t yell or hit. Am I ready for a better life? HECK. YES. Bring on the treats, the naps, and the “who’s a good girl?” speeches. Spoiler: It’s me. I’m a good girl.REQUIREMENTSAnother dogFenced yard Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! I'm a 'northerner' now!  You people talk funny but I'm getting used to it.  Still not sure what a soda is I mean it looks like 'pop' to me and I want to play in the crick but the dogs here call it a creek that's just wrong next thing you know they will be telling us not to say ya all!!Anyhoo I have 1 brother and 2 sisters.  We are super tiny so we are not going to be adopted to homes with big dogs and we are also not going to homes with children.  2nd Chance told us we don't have to worry they will find us the perfect FUREVER homes and humans that won't make ANY excuse to get rid of us!   We are all pretty excited!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5.
