Meet Otis, the most adorable French bulldog and Miniature Pinscher mixed pup! Otis is 1 year and 8 months old. He is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a forever home. His special superpower is his ability to always have his lips stuck on his teefs. Otis was surrendered to us because his humans did not have time for him. We were told that he consistently had accidents in the house and that he was alone most of the day. We could tell that he lacked obedience and did not know boundaries upon intake. His humans did love him, but they did not provide him with a routine or any mental and physical stimulation. He is now doing well with a consistent routine and learning to be a well-behaved pup. His foster mom reports that Otis has not had any accidents in the house since he came. He is a medium sized dog, but he thinks that he is a tiny pup and insists on always getting in your lap. Otis is the epitome of a Velcro dog! He is very affectionate and would love to be with you all the time. Personal boundaries do not exist in his vocab. His favorite thing in the whole world must be chest and belly rubs because he can never get enough of it. Otis will sometimes throw tantrums when he is denied attention but can easily be distracted when you throw a toy for him to chase after. Speaking of toys, Otis LOVES chewing on all the toys. Durable chew toys are a must for this boy. He can be very energetic when playing tug or zooming around the house and yard--and because of this, we think the best environment for Otis is a home without young children. And although he will happily cuddle and snooze on the couch, Otis needs daily walks so that he can exercise his body as well as his brain. Otis is used to doing whatever he wants and will try and push his boundaries to see what he can get away with. However, he is a quick learner with high value food rewards. We are making strides with crate training and leash walking. Otis needs a home with a human that he can trust and depend on. His perfect human will understand that he has been neglected and will continue to help him heal by providing him with lots of love, a consistent routine, and be persistent with his obedience training. Story
Bene is theoretically 9 years old. When he was adopted his age was uncertain but a vet estimated he was about 4 years old at the time. Ive had Bene for 5 years and he has never attacked another dog, bit a child, or even retaliated against a cat that was being unfriendly towards him. That being said: Bene is very energetic, happy to meet new people, and the typical amount of anxious that is normal in his breed. The only unusual/bad habit Bene has is that he likes to rummage through trash. I got a tall bin too large for him to topple and a locked lid that he could not open. That was about a year ago, he has not done it since then. Recently, Ive had to move back in with family, and the only people that could take me in have a zero tolerance no-pet lease and my younger members are seemingly allergic. Im currently harboring Bene with me, but I dont know anyone who will take him and Im certain I have less than a week before the situation turns sour. He needs a good home please.

Hi, I am Adalyn! I am a 5 year old female Boston terrier. I am sweet and I love affection, but I am very shy and hesitant with new people. It takes time for me to warm up when I meet someone, and even once I know them I can tend to startle easily. I love to snuggle with my foster mom on the couch and I follow her everywhere she goes. I’m a toy fanatic and will chew any toy and chase any ball! I also love to wrestle with my foster siblings. I would do best in a home with a confident dog to help me feel safe. I am not a big fan of the cats or small pets in my foster home - they are too fun when I chase them! I take medication daily to help with my anxiety. I’ve come a long way since I came to the rescue, and my medicine has made a big difference. I have a heart murmur that is stable and currently requires no treatment or special care. I am looking for a loving, patient, calm home with a dog companion. I would do best with adults only in the home, who can understand that sometimes I am a nervous nelly. Adalyn is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and up to date on flea/worm preventions. She is being fostered in southern lancaster county and interested adopters must be willing to come to her foster home to meet her.
