Requirements And Donations - Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS). - Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards. - Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies. - Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available. Location And Hours - Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 11 AM-3 PM; Sunday 11 AM-1 PM. - We also host adoption events throughout our community. Hi, I’m Luna! I’m about 8 years old and am a little on the chunky side, but we’re working on that and I’ve already lost some weight. My family was going to abandon me at a kill shelter in Texas, but this nice person took me in to give me a chance to find my forever family instead. I’m a very sweet dog and I have so much love to give. My absolute favorite things in the world to do are sleeping, snuggling, and eating food. I’m a pretty low-energy dog. If you’re looking for a couch buddy, I’m your gal. I also love car rides, strolls around the neighborhood, and naps in the sun. I’m crate trained and am used to being crated when left alone in the house. I can’t wait to meet you! I’m not spayed yet, but my current person says they can take care of that before I’m adopted if you’d like. I also have a large lump on my back right hip that’s too expensive for them to remove right now.
