My foster parents say I am a complete sweetheart but can be a bit stubborn at times. They said they will add more to my Bio as they get to know me more. * I love sleeping on the couch and absolutely love my stout rubbed * I am still a bit timid in new or loud areas * Getting used to my crate. I do well overnight, while my humans are away and eat happily in it but when my people are around, I make it known I would rather be with them. * I am still working on my house potty manners. This is where My stubbornness comes out the most. I will need allot of patients. I can hold it for a long time but that sometimes gets me into situations in my crate. * I am starting to learn playing with my foster siblings is fun. My Foster mom says I have an adorable run. * I get along with everyone including my foster rabbit sibling. Put in an application and come meet me soon. Benito is probably one of the most handsome beagles we've had.  Super sweet, too!  Benito came to us heartworm positive and recently completely the harsh ordeal of heartworm treatment and it worked beautifully.  Benito is now heartworm negative !! Yippee!   It only takes one bite of one nasty mosquito to wreak havoc on a pet and sometimes owners don't even know until it's too late.  Annual testing and prevention is key to keeping pets heartworm free and it's so worth it.  Treatment is expensive and if untreated causes severe physical suffering, characterized by progressive suffocation, heart failure, and exhaustion.  It's a terrible, totally preventable death. Enough of that, now it's time to celebrate and find Benito's rightful companion/family.  This pup deserves the best and we're expectantly optimistic we'll find that lucky person/family sooner than later! Missie is 5 y/o and has not had a forever home, YET! My neighbors had found her running the streets in rough shape back in March. She escaped their back yard and followed me home while I walked my dog in June. I took care of successfully rehomed her once, but unfortunately, her adopter is no longer able to keep her due to health issues, and she is back in my care while we find her the perfect match.Missie is:• Super sweet and very affectionate• A fan of running around outside• A dedicated cuddler on the couch or bed once she's tired• OK with cats• Wonderful with kids (loves my 5-year-old nephew!)• Not a fit for homes with big, rough-playing dogs (especially males)I have two large dogs of my own, so I am looking for a home where she can get the attention she deserves without the stress of big-dog play.
