Story
Meet Farfalli: The Pasta Pup with a Heart as Soft as a Noodle Farfalli is one of the newest members of Sunny Bear Rescue’s Pasta Pack, and she’s as delightful as the bowtie pasta she’s named after! At just over 3 months old, this Beagle/Labrador Retriever mix was saved off a kill list thanks to our amazing partners at Scott County Humane Society before coming into our care. Now, this sweet girl is looking for a forever family to give her all the love she deserves. Farfalli has a chill, quiet demeanor but still enjoys some attention from time to time. She’s the perfect mix of laid-back and lovable—happy to relax and watch the world go by but always up for some snuggles or a little playtime. With her gentle nature and medium energy level, she’ll fit right in with a variety of homes. This black-and-white beauty is great with kids, dogs, and should be good with cats. She’s house-trained (though she’s still a puppy, so she’s working on perfection!), microchipped, and up to date on her shots, though she’s not quite old enough for a rabies vaccine or spay just yet. Farfalli is currently in foster care but still needs a foster or forever home! Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the happy ending she’s waiting for? Apply to adopt or foster today! 🍝🐾 As of 02/14 her estimated full grown weight at 2 years is 42.5 lbs Disclaimer: Without a DNA test, the breed listed is only our best guess based on the animal’s appearance and any information we currently have.

Story
Meet Ziti – The Sweetest Little Pasta Pup! 🍝🐶 Ziti is a Beagle/Labrador Retriever mix who came into Sunny Bear Rescue after he and the rest of the Pasta Pack were saved from a kill list. Now safe and loved, this tricolor cutie (brown, black, and white) is settling into his new world and looking for his forever family! Ziti is a chill, lovable, and quiet pup with a gentle nature. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s a calm and easygoing companion. His medium energy level makes him a great balance of playful and relaxed, perfect for a variety of homes. He’s already good with kids and other dogs, and we believe he would do well with cats too! What makes Ziti even more special? He has a heart-shaped marking on his tail! ❤️ It’s a perfect symbol of the love he’s ready to share with his future family. Be sure to check out his profile pictures to see his adorable heart tail! At about 21 lbs now, Ziti is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog (26-60 lbs). He is microchipped and currently working on his house training—he’s making great progress! Since he’s still young, he has not yet been altered, but that will be part of his future care. Ziti is currently in foster at the rescue, but he is still in need of a foster home or a forever family. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing puppy to join your family, Ziti could be the perfect match! Could you be the one to give this little pasta pup his happy home and life? 🍂🐾 Disclaimer: Without a DNA test, the breed listed is only our best guess based on the animal’s appearance and any information we currently have.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.        Hey there, humans! I’m Kenny, a super, mega sweet 8-year-old beagle boy on the lookout for my forever retirement home. I’m all about good vibes. I love dogs of all sizes as well as my wonderful human companions! I’m a well-mannered guy who prefers to keep my living space accident-free. Just give me a little time to adjust to my new routine and I promise I’ll let you know when I need to go outside. Cuddling? Oh, it’s one of my absolute favorite things! And don’t even get me started on doggie treats… they’re simply to die for! Honestly, I’m pretty much the perfect little guy, but I do have one tiny quirk: Big stairs. Nope, not for me! Those things look a little too scary! I can handle the small steps of about 5 or 6, but when it comes to the big ones, nope! My foster family loves to spoil me by carrying me up like my own private elevator. Hehe! I can manage going down just fine, though. Despite my little quirks, I promise I’m a very good boy ready to find my forever home with a loving family.   If you think you might be the perfect fit for me, please visit our website to learn more about bringing me home. I can’t wait to meet you! Story
Hello, I'm Bunny! I'm a sweet, friendly, and mellow girl. I love to cuddle up and enjoy the quiet moments, but don't let my gentle nature fool you. I'm quite adventurous and have a knack for exploring new things. One of my favorite activities is swimming. There's something about the water that just fills me with joy. It's like a whole new world opens up for me when I dive in. I promise, if you give me a chance, I'll bring so much love and warmth into your life. I'm not just looking for a home, I'm looking for a forever friend. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together! This pet is eligible for the PETS FOR PATRIOTS adoption program. Adoption Process If you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, her adoption fee is being sponsored by one of our generous volunteers! ##2010881##
