Army is a very happy and affectionate girl. She loves to go on walks and is good on a leash, but she will try to run after squirrels when she spots them. However, she’s easy to correct and control if she gets a little too excited. She does well overnight in her crate. She still has some puppy tendencies like play biting, but we give her toys and antlers to chew on to correct her when she gets a little too nippy. She’s learning basic commands such as sit and lay down. She’s very lightweight, only 20-25 pounds, and likes to lay near or on you. She’s very interested in playing with other dogs. She loves playing with her toys. She’s a sweet and fun loving girl. We do not recommend Army with small children due to how excited she gets during playtime. If the adopter is experienced and can manage/work on her mouthy playfulness, it will work beautifully! Story
Benito is probably one of the most handsome beagles we've had.  Super sweet, too!  Benito came to us heartworm positive and recently completely the harsh ordeal of heartworm treatment and it worked beautifully.  Benito is now heartworm negative !! Yippee!   It only takes one bite of one nasty mosquito to wreak havoc on a pet and sometimes owners don't even know until it's too late.  Annual testing and prevention is key to keeping pets heartworm free and it's so worth it.  Treatment is expensive and if untreated causes severe physical suffering, characterized by progressive suffocation, heart failure, and exhaustion.  It's a terrible, totally preventable death. Enough of that, now it's time to celebrate and find Benito's rightful companion/family.  This pup deserves the best and we're expectantly optimistic we'll find that lucky person/family sooner than later!
