Story
Meet Lizzy ❤️ Lizzy is a sweet Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier who is learning how to be a dog for the very first time. She came from a breeder who failed to socialize her, keeping her isolated during the very years when puppies learn how to be dogs. Because of that, Lizzy missed out on so much 💔 When she first came to us, she was very shy and unsure of the world—but she is making beautiful progress every day. She has gone from cowering and hiding to running and jumping to greet her trusted people. Lizzy is still shy and slow to warm up, but when given patience and space, she will come around on her own terms. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding ❤️ She’s learning how to play with toys, what affection feels like, and what safety means. Lizzy’s future home: • A home with another confident, friendly dog (same size or larger) who can help show her the ropes • A home with someone who is home most of the time and able to continue building her confidence • A secure, fenced yard where Lizzy can safely explore and build confidence at her own pace • No small animals (Wheaten Terriers are known to have a prey drive) • Adults only, as Lizzy is still skittish and learning to feel safe • A calm, patient environment where she can continue to blossom Lizzy is making up for lost time—learning to play, explore, and trust. She doesn’t need perfection, just understanding ❤️ For the right home, she will be a deeply special companion. This is what rescue is truly about. Lizzy is 6 years old, 27lbs, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s in St. Petersburg and her adoption fee is $350. ➡️ www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
Tampa, FL FLORIDA ADOPTIONS ONLY Love4Paws Rescue ✨ Meet Lydia ✨ 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier 🤍 Soft heart. Sweet kisses. Big feelings. Learning indoor life one brave step at a time. Could she be your girl? 🐶💛 Lydia is a sweet, gentle girl who is learning what it means to be a loved house dog for the first time. After spending her life outdoors being used for breeding, indoor life is new — but she’s trying her best every day. She is an anxious, jumpy girl who startles easily, but don’t let that fool you — Lydia is incredibly affectionate and loving. Once she feels safe, she’s a total kissy lovebug who wants nothing more than to be near her people. She is good with other dogs (big & small) and cats and requires a confident dog in her forever home who can help her feel secure and show her the ropes. Potty training is a work in progress, and Lydia does best with a predictable routine, scheduled breaks, and someone who is home often. Adoption Requirements: • Secure 5–6 foot fenced yard (no exceptions) • Must have a confident, well-balanced dog in the home • Adults-only household (no children, not due to aggression, but for her safety since she startles easily) • Calm home environment • She is on Royal Canin Urinary SO prescription food and must stay on it • Must be able to physically lift and carry a 30lb dog when needed Additional Details: • Adoption fee: $400 • Location: Tampa, Florida • Application: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt Lydia is a sensitive soul who needs patience, consistency, and love — but in return, she’ll give you loyalty, sweetness, and endless kisses 💛🐾
