Story
Ronnie is a 2-year-old miniature poodle weighing around 15 pounds, and despite everything he’s been through, this little guy still greets the world with love.
Before coming to rescue, Ronnie spent weeks wandering the streets searching for food, safety, and someone willing to help him. Day after day he tried to survive on his own until one very dedicated angel stayed out until 2am patiently earning his trust- finally getting him to safety. Perhaps the most heartbreaking part was that we were able to locate his previous owner who said they let him out the door because they didnt want him. One single night of warmth, soft blankets, and uninterrupted sleep in his foster home changed everything. By morning, Ronnie revealed the sweetest, most loving personality hiding underneath all that fear and exhaustion.
Ronnie absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be close to his humans. He is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, great with cats, and does well with children. He is crate trained, leash trained, and learning the ropes of being the perfect houseguest. Ronnie thrives on love, reassurance, and companionship. He would greatly benefit from having another dog to learn from.
Because of his past, Ronnie does struggle with being left alone and may whine when separated from his people. He is looking for a patient and understanding home that can continue helping him build confidence, stability, and routine while showing him that he will never be abandoned again.
This sweet little survivor is ready to trade survival mode for couch cuddles, belly rubs, and a family of his very own.
Located in Northern Texas, but transport is available out of state. Transport fees apply.
