Story
Meet Kodi — proof that age is just a number. At 12 years old and just 6.5 pounds, Kodi is the kind of loyal, low-maintenance companion dreams are made of. He’s house-trained (even in the rain!), sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and quickly mastered the doggie door like the smart little guy he is. Kodi loves nothing more than being near you—happily curled up at your side or trotting along on a walk, just glad to be included. He is gentle, calm, and full of life, with so much love left to give. He eats only canned food due to his lack of teeth and his age. Kodi didn’t deserve to be surrendered to a shelter by his owner but now he’s ready to be someone’s whole world. Maybe yours? We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Agnes is a senior sweetheart who may be blind, but she navigates life with incredible trust, curiosity, and lots of love to give. Found as a stray before a big freeze, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s now thriving in foster care where sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s shown just how gentle and affectionate she is. Agnes gets along well with cats and other dogs, is potty trained, and loves being close to her people, whether sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s following you around the house or curled up on the couch for snuggles. She enjoys backyard strolls, tasty treats, and quiet companionship. Because sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s heartworm positive, she keeps life slow and cozy, but her sweet personality shines every day, especially when she greets you by rubbing her head against your legs or letting out a tiny excited howl. Agnes is looking for a calm, loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and plenty of cuddles. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/ . Story
>>> Ollie is a 2-year-old Schnauzer Poodle mix with a heart of gold! He's fantastic with kids, cats, and dogs alike. This well-behaved pup crates like a pro and rides shotgun smoothly, although he might get a bit anxious if left alone in the car for too long. Ollie lets you know when nature calls by scratching at the back door. Playtime is his favorite time, and toys are his passion! With a good appetite and consistent weight gain, this little guy's got energy to spare. He struts along nicely on walks and hasn't had any accidents - what a champ! He is fully vetted and ready for his forever home!!! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application.  Adoption fee of $275 includes neuter/spay, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, vaccinations, and other necessary procedures.  Applications without a phone number will not be processed.Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  February 27, 2026, 10:15 am
